Really can't believe how hateful some of you can be. Polina was great and her first time at a big International competition. She is skating for the US not Russia.

I think she would get lower PCS if she wasn't skating for such a big skating country but yeah, I doubt the judges care or are even aware that her mother is Russian.

yay polina!! Does anyone else think the younger korean skaters all seem to be imitating yuna kim? I guess it's only natural to want to imitate their national idol, but it bothers me, like they are all going to be cookie cutter skaters.

Yeah the British guy said she looked nervous and didn't warmup well, but I really thought it was just other girls getting in her way and pissing her off.

Some skaters tend to roll their shoulders forward looking like it's rounded and slightly slumped. It's basically bad posture because they're not holding themselves up and pushing the shoulders back. My ballet teacher got on my case a lot about rounded shoulders

Just managed to watch Polina and I have to say she looked much better than at US Nationals. I am really impressed, this young girl has the talent to develop into a really fantastic skater. She reminds me of a young Caro, so tall and long limbed. Really special! Now nervously waiting for Yuna to take the ice!!!
