I begin to think that Adelina Sotnikova can be the new Olympic champion and the new queen of the ice![]()
You can't read protocols that way because judges are not listed same for every skater. Kim's 1st judge could be Sotnikova's 8th judge
I liked Adelina's program...but come on...she was not even close to Yuna or Carolina...even the commentators here were very surprised by her scores, they said she should be around 70 before her scores being announced...

I don't understand all this hate towards Adelina....I thought she was absolutely wonderful!
But still, her jumps should not have received higher GOEs than Kim's and her PCS should not be almost as high as Kostner's.I agree. OMG....I can't wait until the Olympics are over. It's hard feeling this way being a fan of so many Russian skaters but I didn't think it would be like this.
Sotnikova has been scoring very high for short programs all season long. And she got all level fours, Kim and Kostner didn't. Once can talk about the PCS, but the technical scores? I wonder how many are actually looking at the protocols there.
I believe the judge numberings are scrambled only once, then carried out through the event. Anyone confirm? You can't read protocols that way because judges are not listed same for every skater. Kim's 1st judge could be Sotnikova's 8th judge
Since Octavio is Italian and Kostner is now in contention for a medal, possibly even the gold (but most likely the silver vs Sotnikova) I wouldnt be surprised if he does just that and threatens all the judges who are scoring the womens LP to be very careful in how they score Sotnikova if they ever want to judge again. Usually such corruption and pro his own country which he has done in the past (eg- the threats he made to judges after the 2001 GPF when World Champs Fusar Poli & Margalio were far off their best and came 4th) would annoy me, but in this case it would be justified and might even be needed.
No, we do 't hate her. Just say we don't feel much tension in her program like we sued to, maybe she's holding herself back because of injuries, but it's just the way we feel. It's not hate, damn it. People have different taste. That's all.I don't understand why so many people are disliking Yuna's program. They are just going after anything they can criticize out of Yuna's skating-why hate her so much? I thought Send in the clowns was beautiful in its own way. She was a bit nervous though-she said in interview that she suddenly got nervous before doing her short program and she couldn't move her legs well. Anyway, I'm so happy for her that she still managed to skate cleanly-those jumps were simply amazingAlso, as a Yuna fan, IMO she was the best, no matter what others think lol
Adelina was great too, but really, if she deserves 74, Yuna should've gotten at least 76 or something. Carolina was brilliant, I was hoping for her to have great performance and I hope she performs well with her bolero too tomorrow(I love that program lol)
Well, and a bit shocked at Julia and Mao.... I guess Julia can do well in free tomorrow. But Mao....though I'm a Yuna fan, I was really shocked, I liked her sp this season too, and I feel so sorry for her... Wish she can have her free skate tomorrow without any regrets
She was!But still, her jumps should not have received higher GOEs than Kim's and her PCS should not be almost as high as Kostner's.

Combined with the obvious, questionable scoring, these Games really leave a bad taste in my mouth.
