Yeah, yu/jin honestly should have been more ahead. Congrats on the 2nd jr. title anyways. :)

congratz to all the medalists!!
i love love yu/jin, they look really great together and present eachother well, such elegance and flow in their movements, she seems really shy though, she let him answer all the questions  and he seems like a great guy
there is something about seguin and bilodeau, they both are geniune and caring towards eachother, and i am sure 100% that he is maxim's long lost twin now that he cut his moustache
i enjoyed japan and Czech teams a lot, hoping for better season for all pairs next season :yay:

So three spots for China (one team in first)
three spots for Russia 3+4=7 (3rd team in 11)
three spots for Canada 2+9=11 (3rd team in 10)
three spots for USA 5+7=12
two spots each Japan (6), CZE(8) one team in top 10

I don't recall whether Italy gets 2 for one team in top 12?

Really best outcome for ne xt year JGP and world spots for all countries competing except UKR and ITA.

Best wishes for an easy transition to seniors for those movng on, and best wishes for those staying in juniors on the jgp next year. :cheer: to all teams!

While I am sad we will not see Yu/Jun at Worlds, I am at the same time happy Pang/Tong will be competing and I hope they will get a medal. ;)

And I agree about a nice interview too!

Fields/Stevens will have to move on cause Stevens is 21.

Liu/Johnson have one more year of eligibility. I think it would be great for them to stay junior one more year and polish up those elements.

Top 2 teams were fabulous and quite frankly their skating was on a different planet compared to everyone else. Glad the Russians managed bronze but I hope Fedorova goes to jump boot camp over the summer because in seniors she's going to need SBS triples..

The chinese coach in Kiss an Cry next to Yu/Jin was Luan Bo, right? This was quite surprising for me, because I believed Luan Bo was the regional Coach (in Harbin) and their Junior Coach and Yu/JIn left her 2 years ago and went to Beijing (Yao Bin, Zhao Hongbo's national team).

Now that I've actually sat down and watched Fedorova/Miroshkin in full, instead of bits and pieces of both programs...

It's such a shame about her jumps, because there's so much to like about them. The SBS Biellmann's, of course, really draw the eye. Their twist makes a compelling argument in favour of the vertical twist (never my favourite), and the entry is just icing on the cake. The SP in particular shows great musical timing. I would like to see more variation in the lifts, but I can see why they try to stand out by showing more of her flexibility.

But I don't know about their future prospects. If her jumps as a constant problem, they don't exactly have the overall GOE (like Peng/Zhang) to make up for it. (Yes, F/M do deserve huge GOE for the spins and twist, but their throws are rather underwhelming).

What a great way for S/B to end their junior career. This season they've been flawless in each performance which is extremely impressive and commendable. Even though they didn't win, they get a silver and a trip to Shanghai which must be exciting for them. Y/J were obviously great as well but I'm still against junior teams that have gone to the GPF going to JW. As for F/M, I hate to say it but I don't have high hopes for their future. She needs to fix her jumps, hopefully its puberty or something that can be fixed with more training. The competition in Russia for pairs is INTENSE with the top 3 spots basically locked, that will not cut it.

I haven't had a chance to watch yet, but that result is much closer than I thought it would be. Kudos to S/B for staying that close to a team that made the senior GPF. That bodes really well for their future!

Yeah, I'm sure many will disagree, but I think it's kind of lame. If I were in Y/J's position, of course I'd take the opportunity. But the fact that it's allowed is kind of weird. It feels a bit like the seniors popped in here out of nowhere to "steal" the gold medal. Again, not Y/J's fault at all, and on the other hand it's great that they still get to go to one form of Worlds despite the return of P/T. And hell, for Y/J, it ALSO feels like the seniors popped in out of nowhere, just in their case, it's to "steal" their spot on the World team. A weird situation is all.

I thought I would find the russian team more compelling, but their basics are poor as well as their other technical skills. Their lifts look laboured, creativity and artistry is stifled as well. They have a nice twist but other than that meh. I really admire the work of Tamara Moskvina.

Both of their programs were choreographed by Marina Zoueva. I like their SP but the LP is where most of their problems have occurred. The choreo doesn't really flow well and there's no room for musical interpretation. They look bored out there. They probably need more conditioning too, her in particular.

Love the top two pairs! S/B seems to have a special warmth to their pairing that I can't help but cheer for them even though I definitely want Y/J to win. Is Julianne going to focus on pairs now? I remember she said she wanted to try doing both around Skate Canada time...is there an update on that front?

She stated in an interview (I can't remember which) that she'll be focusing on pairs from now on.
