Oh, boo hoo. He's a commentator. His job is to give substantive critique, which he did and as far as I'm concerned it was spot on. I'm just disappointed there wasn't more objection to the component scores and emphasis on the stark difference in quality between Max and others.
Substantive critique? Maybe I could accept that as an explanation if his commentary contained anything other than negative "it sucks" style comments and little else.
The last thing figure skating needs as a sport is to have a catty, petty witch like Weir as a public face - it only serves to reinforce the idea in many people's minds that figure skating isn't a sport and that it's full of people just like him. Heaven forbid.
