2015 Winter Universiade

Never mind Roberta Rodegheiro - Anastasia Yalovaia was scary there now!

You should have seeen the look she gave when the scores came up and she saw she was in the penultimate position!

So, after Nathalie Weinzierl's disappointing score (slotting in just behind Reyna Hamui), that is Kerstin and Anne-Line qualified.

Next on the list waiting for somebody to mess up is Beata Papp, followed by the aforementioned Hamui and Weinzierl.

Miyabi Oba won't have to worry about that. After that skate, she should go into the top 3.

Roberta has no reason to act and look scary after getting that score! Now, if Roberta was the one who got a 32…:slink:

This should be an interesting group.

Hecken to kick off, then a couple of young skaters I've never seen before, then Kunova (who I think I've seen), and then Leonova.

Oh, I really hope Leonova does well!

(Are we still allowed to call her Perkykova...?)

You mean Perkova? XD Yeah, I guess…that SP shows it! I also hope she does well! Her and Artemieva (in the last group).

Oh, no. I was just referring to your comment about Roberta's glare! She had no reason to be upset today.

I was surprised to see Sarah Hecken shaking her head as she came off the ice. For me, that was better than anything we have seen from her so far this season.

But, what do I know...?

EDIT: To answer my question, nothing. Sarah has just gone 14th out of 15! :slink:

Good luck to Alena, Mae Berenice, and Maria, and I hope Laurine has a clean skate!

Oh, I get it, hehe. :) Yes, Yalovaia's was terrifying. :hopelessness: Is it scarier than Anna Tsareva's Kiss and Cry face, though?

Somebody ought to create a thread with skaters' glares, looks and the like.

Ah, I thought it was "Perkykova" because, well, you can work that one out for yourself!

Nah, now that I've been corrected, I don't really like the sound of that name.

And I agree about Artemieva. But, I'm just doing one group at a time!

Ah. Just noticed that Beata Papp has managed what her brother didn't, and qualified for the Free Skate.

Next in the queue are Hamui, Weinzierl and Bressanutti. But, it is going to get harder for them to get through.

Hamui down

You know, at this rate of going, I'm going to have to eat my hat about Bressanutti not having any hope of going through, and Italy haveing to rely solely on Roberta Rodegheiro.

But, she'll have to wait, as Kunova has just slotted in in front of her. (Personally, I thought it was better than 12th. But, she knew herself that it wasn't going to be good. Didn't like her dress, though).

COME ON ALENA!!!! :cheer:

Re: Bressanutti, well, there are 4 remaining skaters who would have to get a PB to beat her score here, so it's definitely possible

Can't believe how scared Alena looked before the scores came up. And even afterwads!

Like, anybody who saw it would have known that she was easily going to take a big lead.

Maybe she's worried about who is still to come...?

But, of those still to come, the only ones I can see coming close are Meite and Artemieva. Although Lecavalier should be in the mix for a top 5.

This girl has got too used to worrying about results the past few years. Relax a bit, love!

Maybe she wanted to have a comfortable lead? Knowing her unfortunate tendency not to be too good during the FS… Maybe lingering trauma from what happened at the Ice Challenge? (Or for my entirely made-up reason, she probably read that GD thread about casting skaters in ice adaptations of stuff…and practiced looking scared for her to convince us that she's fit for a heroine role, rather than a villain…)

Viktoria Helgesson as well! Her Europeans outing was pretty good...

Thank you for mentioning Vicky. Because it made me realise that she's not on the SP starting list:

She must have withdrawn without us noticing.
