2015 World's Practice Reports

... does anyone have reports on the men's and ice dance? is it true that Maia changed her FD dress?

@ShareWang
Josh was the only US man attended the evening’s practice... did some nice 3As @crossthefingers

The Shibutanis themselves had announced their new FD costumes, IIRC.

... Josh with blinders:https://twitter.com/sapix929/status/579974129492721664

And all the other practice pics this user posts:https://twitter.com/sapix929/media

Thanks for sharing! I'm getting so excited!!

Question: what are blinders and how do they benefit a skater?

A second photo from the same user showing Josh using his red headband/blindfold thing.

My understanding is that Josh uses it to increase his proprioception ... meaning to heighten his awareness of his body position and to help his alignment.

GS has had some past discussion of it in Josh's fan thread and elsewhere:

Thank you laire for sharing. Great practice photos thanks to the up-loader! I love the color and fabric of
Maia's new dress the color really flatters her and Mae B. is looking fabulous in green.
Where are Team Japan's men?

I'm the first to admit that I know little about the technical side of things, but it looked too blurry to me to tell what edge Ashley jumped from. I love her artistry though- did she work with someone after nationals? I feel like her movement is different somehow- better.

I hope someone is able to record the russian women, and gracie too.

Yes, she worked with her choreographer, Shae-Lynn Bourne, a couple of weeks ago to add some to her program.

I'm in Shanghai for the competition and I'd love to go to some practice sessions tomorrow, does anyone know if tickets are required/are they included in the all event ticket?

Heck, this season was long. I was humming as I went through the practice photos; eventually I realised I was humming POTO :drama:

Yup: The one and only: Shae-Lynn Bourne!
