Now realized it's Marin who plans to have a 3A. I thought it was Satoko and was totally at a loss.![]()
No, it's Satoko. Marin hasn't talked about doing it in competition lately. You can go back to being totally at a loss.

The media talk about Marin practicing 3A and 4S for a while. There's a video of her doing 3A in harness (and it's not close to 3A at all). And of course she also said something like landing 4S at Olympic or so. I don't believe it even though she has a nice 3S.No, it's Satoko. Marin hasn't talked about doing it in competition lately. Um... That's not true... it would defy basic physics. With Satoko's rotational speed she just needs more distance, not height. To get distance, she needs speed, which she will try to get by circling the ice with a long crossover.
I don't think having a big 2A is essential. With Satoko's rotational speed she just needs more distance, not height. To get distance, she needs speed, which she will try to get by circling the ice with a long crossover.
Wakaba and Kaori have much more speed and know how to control it, and they are more likely to master 3A than Satoko.

Oh? I thought that was because he shifted his focus from trying 3A's, to trying quads... he found quads easier than 3A, and once he could land them, he found he could land 3A's too...?Maybe I didn't express myself well. What I mean is that this is how Shoma Uno managed to land the 3A after years and years of falling on it. He was taught to use more distance and in doing so he ended up having distance and more height than he had before.

Wakaba has said in past interviews, that in her opinion 3A will become necessary for winning championships in the future.I've seen Wakaba's 3A attempts with and without a harness and she's nowhere near mastering it. She thinks she can do it but at the same time she said she doesn't like the axel.

So even if she doesn't like axel, I think she is serious about trying to master it...

Meanwhile, Marin elaborated her complex strategy for rest of the year:

I'm thinking the emoticons means that She's leaving on the Slovenia flight and gonna be strong enough to get a gold medal, so that I can go to France (for JGP Final).Meanwhile, Marin elaborated her complex strategy for rest of the year:

She has already figured it out. She's staying until 2018. She will start her season at Finlandia Trophy. As for who will represent Japan at Worlds, the most likely trio is Satoko Miyahara - Wakaba Higuchi - Mao Asada, imo.I wonder who will represent Japan at worlds. Any scoop about Mao? I think Mao needs to figure out whether she really wants to stay in competitive skating.
