I'd love to see Mako on the big intl stage, I miss watching her skating with proffesional footage. She's so good. I hope she have enough funds and motivation to continue and she'll finally get more opportunities.

Coupe du Printemps happened before Worlds.Any competition that happens after Worlds doesn’t count for SB and Kawabe’s not among top 24 SB or WS.
An SB comes from a Grand Prix/Junior Grand Prix, Challenger event or ISU championship. Coupe du Printemps is a Senior B and doesn't count for an SB.Coupe du Printemps happened before Worlds.
Talking about Top 24 SB or WS, Saki Miyake, Rino Matsuike, Mako Yamashita are not there either. So in theory they are all in the same pool for 1 assignment just like Mana.
Their SB are accordingly:
Saki Miyake 196.79
Mana Kawabe 194.95
Rino Matsuike 193.21
Mako Yamashita 183.81
Right... It makes sense. An SB comes from a Grand Prix/Junior Grand Prix, Challenger event or ISU championship. Coupe du Printemps is a Senior B and doesn't count for an SB.

So it did. But it still didn’t count as an SB so my point still stands.Coupe du Printemps happened before Worlds.
No, they’re not in the same situation because they all have international SBs unlike Kawabe. Miyake, for example, is sitting pretty at 27 and should get two assignments after retired and junior skaters are removed.Talking about Top 24 SB or WS, Saki Miyake, Rino Matsuike, Mako Yamashita are not there either. So in theory they are all in the same pool for 1 assignment just like Mana.
The points were useful for Watanabe as well; she only had one non-major event for the standings and wasn’t going to get championship level event points this season either. Senior B win is not huge point-wise (around mid-10s place in a championship level), but nothing to sneeze at.Not sure why Watanabe was there, though. It would have made more sense to send another skater that actually needs the points.
