All I want to know is did she accidentally take out her scrunchie at the end of the program, or was it part of the choreography? 
Seriously though, she's very impressive. Her spins and SS need more speed, but she's young, so I'm not worried.

This is madness! There are simply too many good skaters in Russia for one country to handle. They should spread the love to smaller federationsby handing over some of their "B-Team" juniors...
it's a win-win! The girls can have all the assignments they want, and the small federations get good skaters!
Is it possible for these girls to represent Uzbekistan? Isn't that what Tatiana Malinina did? She's from Russian, right?

I am pretty certain you are right, age is a factor. If Panenkova cannot be at OG-2018, then they consider there is no rush in putting her out Still both Gubanova and Lozko get JGP although they are too young for OG-2018 too. I think the federation could give Panenkova at least one spot to motivate her.
That won't work most likely. One has to realize - these girls are talented, but they need conditions both in terms of space and coaching/team work. I don't think any of Eteri girls could be as good without Eteri's team, not even trying to imagine how would it be with an extremely limited support that countries like Uzbekistan could provide them with. There were the cases - for ex. Shelepen, Afonikina - when the change of the country ended skaters as competitors.

Daria is an unusually combination: if she does not jump, she looks very clumsy and slow on ice, but when she jumps, she looks so effortless. How can she jump so well with such poor basics?

Even though this girl CAN jump (as there is not tomorrow) her SS and spins are not that good...
That being said I dont think that this girl would score that high in a JGP event...
Me thinking.... It is still uncertain what is happening with Fedichkina: could this girl take her place???
Eteri coaches several skaters who will compete for a different country. Her own daughter will be, for example. And one of the boys (I think Kvietalashvili) too.

Look, the bottom line is that Panenkova did not stand out the whole last season. The fact that she now managed to skate well at one competition does not mean that she is a great skater. She will have to do more than that to prove herself. I am sorry that sucks, but you can't expect them to drop skaters that proved themselves to make space for someone who managed to skate well at one competition. Panenkova did not even qualify to junior nationals. The at junior B, where the strongest skaters don't compete, she was only sixth. How can you possibly compare her with skaters like Gubanova, Nugumanova, Lozko, Samodurova etc?

she reminds me of a better Pervuskina, the jumps werent that exceptional imo, also there is very few spots left to replace in Russian JGP spots.

Russia is already better at spreading their options this year than last year. Now that Daria is in the list of subs at JGP6, at least there is a chance for her to make an appearance if 2 or more of the 8 girls with firm JGP assignments bombs. This shows they learned from last year where Lozko, Konstantinova and Samodurova were doing better domestically than Mikhailova, Mitrofanova and Pervushkina but still couldn't take JGP slots because they were off the sub list.

Holy moly... She might be the next one pretty soon. Her jumps are like there is no tomorrow. Her skating skill needs to be a bit more polished tho, a bit lighter, and a bit less pressure at times in few turns and it should be there. Her skating actually reminds me of Wagner a bit. Almost always on the edge and in the accented big circle.
