To our friend in Poland, somewhere.......
Why is HanYan hopeless, to you?
He was quite good at the Winter Games in Mongolia, altitude and all, didn't fall for a change, he got second, after Jin, with all his quads completed, only a slight flaw somewhere. The coach after the LP, offered him an oxygen can, he was so high up, he waved and shoved it away!
He has the best PC and footwork amongst the Chinese men skaters, so with the Russians absent at Taipei, there is a chance, with good luck for him to place higher than, less say, fourth overall.
Chinese CCTV, originally, has no intention of broadcasting the event at all. But after some rumblings from the fans, the sports network has agreed to show the pairs, with Peng/Sui a good chance for the gold. They will show only their SP, already did that this afternoon, 2:30 Beijing time, ( Peng/Sui placing first after the SP)and LP sometime on Sunday, 8:30 morning. Someone say there is a chance for the network to show the men's LP, too, what with Jin and the other Chinese skaters getting on ice en masse, at this 4CC event. And the crowd cheering them on, (I was pleasantly surprised this afternoon)。What a huge stadium, for skating! Reminds me of the Sochii Rink.
My main attraction, overall is of course to see the 'Return of the King' 王者归来,in the person of Patrick Chan, heartthrob of so many skating fans, used to be, all around the world! He was noted to be stronger, both physically, and technically overall, at winning, what's new, the Canadian Championship, at Skate Canada, last November.
