2016 US Nationals Senior Men SP

Nathan set the standard, but he still left the door open for others to pass him.

I'm cheering for everybody left in this group! ...but especially Grant.

Last year I could have both IN streams open with no issues and this year the main stream quality fades in and out. So annoying, what do they do with our subscription dollars? Obviously improving their product isn't high on the list.

Sebastien Payanet~ gray top, black pants. He has some nice qualities to his skating, but a bit hard to switch to this style after watching Tsunami. Nice 2A, but other jumps have problems. Some interesting spin positions.

Will you buy me a lottery ticket? Since you know for sure how Nathan is going to skate tomorrow, you must know the winning numbers. Thanks!:agree:

Only Pairs, Dance, and Ladies tomorrow. Men's FS isn't until Sunday afternoon.

But he didn't fully hit tonight and the score he got here can be achieved without one quad. His 4T combo was beautiful though.

Hmm. How about we watch the final 2/3 of the short programs, the free skate, and then decide who is going to score highest?

He didn't land the quad and combo but I think his quality of jumps (when landed) and skating are overall better than Nathan.

Wishful thinking:biggrin: Also wishful thinking that I will have electricity and a stream, but since the "real" blizzard is supposed to hit 40 miles east.....

Grant's lunge into the camel spin was nice. I haven't seen that before

I've said it so many times and I'll keep saying it: I wish solo ice dance was more popular. For skaters like Grant

Grant Hochstein~ dip-dyed gray top with crystals and rouching detail across chest. Memo to Payanet- this is how you do a gray top and black pants well. Lovely interpretation, proving small powerful skaters can extend and be graceful. Gorgeous triple Axel. Too bad about the other jump problems. Nice, fast spinner.

79.24 is quite high actually. I'm pretty happy. He got a chance to fight in the Free Program.

Won't stop me! I've got a Chromebook charged with 10 hours of battery, a modem/router on a backup UPS, and a mobile hotspot on my smartphone!
