2017-18 State of Russian Ladies skating

You had experience what did the Russian media with Yulia Lipni who are a cute, young, beautiful lady..Can you imagine what did the media with Plushenko over the years, who is a real celebrity, who always wanted to do unexpexted things who was a pioneer in many things? Yana, Plushenko's wife and agent in Russia explained the prices but they didn't care about it..They shouted and repeated the most expensive price only ! because they can make scandal with it. And Plushenko isn't that person who explains something again and again..He said something what is the truth but he doesn't care about the stupidity, envy and the haters.
One thing is very important. They have a smaller ice rink as the normal his tudent were in Novogorsk before the competition. But Plushenko will solve the problem. He will build a new ice rink soon. He negotiates about the territory.

Outside of Russia we have a mixed messaging, we often know only one side of the story, the most talked one, that is why the rumors that Plushenko school were popular while Yana's response unknown to the most.

What he's doing is extremely important not just for the skaters but also for Saint Petersburg itself: especially in ladies figure skating Moscow has outclassed SPB in the recent years, Mishin is getting old so he's not raising new prodigies the way he used to do, Rukavicin's success is nowhere near to what Eteri is doing in Moscow, Urmanov moved to Sochi, and then there are few minor coaches like Angelina Turenko or Valentina Chebotareva (who's now getting popularity thanks to Kolyada)

Plushenko is still a legend of this sport, his students will be respected by the judges and the competitors.

His school in Moscow

Fail

I should have known considering that he mentioned Novogorsk, well that sucks :(

In Moscow there is already too much competition, no love for SPB (i wonder what will happen when Mishin/Mishina retire) and we don't have news on how things are going in Sochi.

daniil should show us baby anya on the ice, if she's on the ice, of course.
i'm really worrying for my baby, and she updated her facebook profile with this bear picture

is it the final entries? i'm still fear that they'll insert konstantinova in the last moment somehow
It isn't clear yet. I think these entries are final. So many talented young ladies... it will be interesting to watch

Let's hope that Anna feels alright, she is such beautiful and talented girl that I can start crying. Hope that Alena will get the spot, because if not I'll be upset even more and will start to hate everything.

I remember Tat's comment on Alisa cca 2 years ago. She said Alisa will have problem with the weight..or she will be overweight after the puberty...Well, she is in good shape now..

Haha, she was not a skinny girl to start with, so even I predicted her weight may give her troubles, combined with the factor she does not jump high. I don't think she would be "overweight" by normal standard, or WHO's standard if there is one.

The funny thing is, when she was 13 in her first JGP season, people were saying she was very promising because she already had a mature body, implying with a mature body at 13 she is out of trouble for her growth.

Plushenko lives in Moscow for years (not too far from Putin  ). His wife's job is there. They had apartmens in both cities but they sold it in last year. We, his fans were sad because he finally broke away from that city.:sad21:

St. Petersburg is beautiful, but there are more opportunities in Moscow

If Samodurova will perform the same as at the last competition, she will be a real force in Croatia JGP even without big jumps.

She has improved a lot her artistry, loved the program and also the spins (one of her weaknesses last season), but the steps sequence is still level 2 or 3 and not 3-3 (then why not doing two 2a-3t in the 2nd half?)

Also any news on Gulyakova? is she still injured? cause outside Eteri's students she is the most solid.

Gulyakova won over Gubanova on 19th September at Cup of Russia (1st stage). Was she injured after that?

Doesn't medvedeva-zagitova remind us of Michelle-Tara more than just a bit? Esp with the upcoming Olympic circumstances...

Hush I said this first but I regret it now. I don't want pressure and comparisons on Alina. And she's so much better than Tara. LOL.

True.....St. Petersburg is a beautiful city and though Plushy may not be there, I'm sure there must be good coaching available there. Isn't Elizabetha from there?
