This program is awesome!!! I'd give her all the PCS!!
So far only Nastya, that's for sure. Her skating skills and arm movements are something special, especially at such young age. Alena and Anna's programs are more mesmerizing, but their skating are far from Nastya's.
JGP's starting order. Alenka will skate in the first group, and Sonya in the third.

Poor Anita Ostlund. It isn't quite fair that she will have to skate right after Alena. Top skaters should be in the last group.
Not only jumps. In this season she also has problems with spins (a bit weak and slow) and speed.
I guess we already know how will look the final group in the free skate:

I think I could stand it, but her falls leave no choice for judges and RUFed, so we won't see her in JGPF. She skated better this time, she might scate 2 clean programs at JGPF if she had a chanceNot only jumps. In this season she also has problems with spins (a bit weak and slow) and speed.

You’re probably right. The American girl in the field may or may not be a threat. Never even heard of her! Rika or Alena, I’m predicting, will be in 1st after the sp. I hope Alena is ready; she just competed last week.
Yeah, Sonya didn't skate clean her short program. Two South Korean young talents still didn't show their best. Also clean Rika with 3A easily will beat 200+ overall.
Well, if Hanna will be clean and some of other girls will bomb, why not? Nastya Arkhipova from Ukraine as example at JGP Gdansk.

Sherbakova last season programs/skates :luv17: > Kostornaya this season programs/skate > Gubanova this season ....
I don't like Nastya's this season programs. she looks worst than last season... speed, transitions, programs, connection with the music.... in all aspects... :sad21:
Eteri has now coached 10 different skaters to JGP lady's gold medals since the 2009-2010 season which was Polina Shelepen's first season. The rest of the Russian coaches together have coached 8 skaters to JGP ladies Gold Medals in that time frame. Serafima is included in both counts. The only other coach with sizable success is Mie Hamada with 4 different skaters who have earned gold on the JGP. Goncharenko and Mishin have had 2 lady's skaters earn gold on the JGP in that time period.
I've heard a couple of times from people how they think(and are sometimes worried) Russia will dominate women's skating like they dominate rhythmic gymnastics. I used to be skeptical but at the JGP I think it's going to be that way for a least another decade. Japan will give some competition, but every other country isn't able to develop a mass of skaters and any good skater will get sent to the senior circuit pretty quickly. The technical gap between winning an individual JGP gold and winning the actual senior World Championship is smaller than ever. Russia and it's system may find it easier to dominate the JGP than the senior World Championships. Every other country may find it equally difficult to develop a skater capable of getting in the JGP Final as developing a skater that wins a medal in senior WC. It's likely Russia will do well at the senior level for a long time but I wouldn't be surprised if someday we get to a point where Russia dominates the JGP but struggles at the senior level like with dance and pairs currently.

If Kostornaya and Samodurova make the JGP Final, then 13 out of 18 spots for Russian Nationals will be filled: Leonova Tuktamysheva Pogorilaya Radionova Medvedeva Sotskova Tsurskaya Zagitova Mikhailova Panenkova Trusova Tarakanova Kostornaya Samodurova
That leaves 5 spots for these and maybe a few lesser : Sakhanovich Gubanova Nugumanova Fedichkina Gulyakova Konstantinova Kurakova Tarusina

There's a good chance one or both of Pogorilaya and Radionova will not make it to the Olympics. It'll be interesting if either one will want to switch countries in order to make it to the Olympics(I actually have my doubts). But if they do I think they need to stick around for at least one more season in Russia.
