I also thought at this possibility, that changing the combo in the short into a 3lz3t might affect further her confidence and therefore make a mistake in the free. But it depends how the coaching team will introduce the change, I guess.
I will also opt for a change in the short at the Europeans as this is the last competition where they can experiment and see what works or not.

At her first two appearings - test skates and Lombardia, she didn't have any problems with combo but 2A. Then, they changed her axel's entry, and she started to fall on combo. They made an easier entry on axel, now you suggest to make an easier combo, what's next? Jump doubles? Maybe this will help? Really, what a nonsense. No need to change anything, and her SP at Nationals shows she gained some consistency, except messy flip.
I'm sure if not that entry on 2A at the beginning of the season, she would skate her SP without mistakes. But the test skates and Lombardia somehow broke her consistency in the short program. But as I said, at Russian Nationals it looked like she almost recovered of that.
