This thread has 6904 posts. Would you like to check how many posts are about Bryzgalova? And how many are abour underage females? You are trying distracting strategy, but I am sorry, this thread is not about Bryzgalova. It is about Russian skaters, and most posts are about Russian females and many of them are still underaged. So your post about Bryzgalova is not really relevant.

I never named you as an author of the comments that creep me out. You took that on yourself. But the fact remains that some of the posts are seriously creepy and some posters are not thinking clearly about the age of skaters they worship. And that can make me very uncomfortable. If in society they were as invested in female of the same age as the skaters are, someone would call the police or the social services, but this is anonymous forum and ‘loving’ a skater can hide anything.

If Med and Zagi both go clean, I predict scores as close as those from the Germans and Chinese at the pairs event - less than a point. I just wish clean performances and let the better skate of the night win. We already know they both are great. :yay:

I don’t think that watching a cartoon will change my mind. I work in child protection field and as I am saying, some of the posts on this forum are not very appropriate. I am sorry if you can’t see it, but there is something wrong if adult males fancy underage girls. No matter if those girls can skate or not. It seems that being able to skate makes it somewhat acceptable to express feelings that a male in any western society could not express face-to-face without worrying about being reported to the authorities. Just a thought about what people are posting and how appropriate (or not) it can be. Would you be happy if someone felt the same about your underage daughter?

Well, ok. What do you suggest then? Good luck with deconstructing, interpreting, seeking hidden agenda and analyzing scrupulously each admirers post here. I, for one, definitely am not a fan of such pastime. My condolencences to those who is so tainted by feminism propaganda that aren't able to enjoy natural conversation about their favourite sport without that western world cancer. On other hand you can't prohibit skating fans to admire their favorite skaters - be they underage or not. Else this site just would lose its purpose and became abandoned for good.

I don’t think this is about a feminist propaganda. If someone is fancing an underage girls, it is not a feminist matter. The person is a pedophile. There is a difference between an admiring skills of a skater, and admiring a person as a woman and putting her on a pedestal and worshipping her like some semi-god, because if this female is an underage, one wonders what is behing this admiration. I am sorry if you can’t see a difference.

If Alina even steps out or loses a couple of levels in her SP, it's gone for her I think.
Why?
At Euros, perfect Alina scored 80.27 in the short. Perfect Alina = clean 3Lz+3Lo, clean rippon 3F, clean 2A, all level fours on spins and steps.
Not perfect Evgenia scored 78.57 in the short. Not perfect Evgenia = clean 3F+3T with flip tano, clean 3Lo, stepout on 2A, all level fours on spins and steps.

Perfect Alina scored 157.97 in the free. Her skate there only has one way to improve: fixing her musical cues
Not perfect Evgenia scored 154.29. Ways Evgenia could improve this score: better first flip, more rippons/tanos to increase GOE, less tightness on jumps, having a 2A-2T-2Lo rather than 2A-2T-2T. She will do all of them except the last one, probably. Maybe she'll surprise us with her layout.

Evgenia lost not only GOE but also PCS for her errors. If she fixes them --> higher scores. Maybe by 3-4 points. That might be enough to win over clean Alina, maybe not. So if Alina makes a small mistake --> goodbye GOE on that jump, maybe also lowered PCS. Of course, unless both of them implode, they're taking the top two spots. But we'll see in the short.

Difference of PCS range M-Z ~ may be 1-4 max, but Difference of TES range Z-M ~ may be 5-7(!)
What about the result? )) I don't know..

it would certainly be the best ladies competition since Kwan vs Lipinski

i just hope this time around my favorite is the one who stands on the top step.......still crying over Nagano :sad4:

Looking back, it's so funny how wrong my predictions were, as far as which ladies would be 2018 contenders. It's crazy how deep the field is. Obviously, these are fan videos, and hugely biased, so they are a bit tongue-in-cheek. Anyway, looking forward to the actual event. Fingers crossed!

I can hardly breathe waiting for the ladies to start. As an American all I'm hoping for our ladies is to skate clean and have a good time. It's different when it comes my gal Evgenia...I want her to win, period...I love the Russian girls and I know there's a good chance they could sweep the podium. Med has been on top for 2 seasons now and I'd hate to see her miss the OGM. Good luck to all the ladies and may the best skaters make the podium.
