Navka has her own forum ...? :reye:
its more Elena E fanboys forum

Id be happy if BS stayed but seems unlikely to me (tho maybe Katia decided its not urgent to have a bb)

hmm lots of ppl predict PM to be 4th at Nats :confused2: I hope it comes true but seems to me that the fed would push LD

Forgive me for saying this but please Pavel Drozd needs a new partner. Alla cannot follow his lead. I don't care who it is as long as she can skate. Is she injured or ill? It just hurts. It not just her weight. It just that she's always struggling to keep up with him and its distracting, very.

Russia seem to have excess of dance males. They already let Gurreiro and Tkachenko go, but it seems that the dance males are doing better than the females and if they get rid of all underperforming females, the males won’t have a partner.
Vlasenko also could do better with a proper ice dancer.

It sounds funny now as your Vika & Nikita better need to watch out not to land on that 4th place as this is their position after SD. Hopefully they will pull themselves and edge out Z/G at least.

I don't think she's that bad. He's not that good himself. They actually gel better.

Pavel looks like he's dragging aroung an inexperienced junior when he dances with her.

I think she is pretty bad. Because he is so much better, all her weaknesses are showing. There is a reason why he was getting medals at JGP, JGPF and junior worlds and she was never sent anywhere. I think he got a bit desperate after being too long on the search for someone of his level, that finally he took whatever was available. I am not sure if that is a solution though. It didn’t work for Ilynikh, for example.

Why do people think Alla Loboda is so inferior to Pavel Drodz? She might be marginally less good than him, but when I watch them, there's not a huge discrepancy in my eyes.

she has inferior skating skills, to be fair both are not good in skating skills. If you compare L/D to the current russian juniors like P/V, S/S. S/E or even K/A they are not even that good.

Loboda is only slightly better than Stepanova, the latter have tried to improve.

yes, I think you can see L/D are in problems when a team who is evidently very weak in SS as Popova/Mogzov are getting better results. Maybe L/D only need the opportunity to skate a good or at least decent choreography.

not sure they will stick together that long, maybe Drozd can skate with Ilinykh ?? but he has such inferior skating skills, very shallow edges.

it is not true :roll5: . Plus, Elena accepted work with this last blond guy who seemed that started to skate yesterday, evidently she is not exigent. Elena would be thrilled if Pavel accept to skate with her.

On a shallow note - oh, they would be a handsome team. Very very handsome.

He may be young but he can dance, his interpretation of the rumba pattern was my favourite during nationals. He is also very strong and with good coaching, it could work. But we'll see what the future holds.

Not only handsome, but they would be a "it" team luring a lot of new fans with their oozing star quality :luv17: that also would differentiate other dance teams because most of ice dancers are beautiful in appearance, but not all of their skating sell their beauty on ice.

how tall is Pavel ? he looks very tall so lifting should not be a problem unlike with Zhiganshin

Maybe Pavel should skate with Anastasia Skoptcova next year.

Skoptsova/Aleshin are quite close in height already and they remind of every other Kustarova team, great success in juniors but don't last long in seniors (except Bobrova/Soloviev obviously).

Either Alla gets into the shape asap, or they should split up. The Russian Nationals was a moment of truth for them, showing that the partnership isn't working at the moment.

Oh my how things have changed in Russia.
In the olden days, the skaters had to keep in optimum shape, as they knew that otherwise they would be quickly replaced.

In the normal world, a huge percentage of girls hit weight problems when puberty kicks in and they stop growing.
Not everyone can control their weight to the nearest gram as Medvedeva manages to do.

I personally love seeing fuller figured women, its how a woman should be.
I find Sinitsina too thin, it is not how a woman should look.
She is so beautiful even so, but with another 2-3 kilos, she would be just perfect.

I am happy Madison Hubbel is rising to the top, she is showing the next generation that it is the skating that counts, not being a stick insect.

Having said all that, it is harder to do twizzles with extra kilos (extra velocity?), and can be difficult for the man when there is not a lot of height difference or the man is not strong in lifts like Nikita.

Oh, for crying out loud. Loboda & Drozd are the top young dance team competing in Russia that has been together from a young enough age to plausibly get to the top. Russia needs to stop self-destructing by convincing its top young teams to split up. If Bobrova & Soloviev and Stepanova & Bukin had listened to this garbage--and I remember well enough that both teams heard it--then they would not be together today. And you know who would be headed to the Olympics? Two teams that haven't competed two full seasons on the GP and would probably not get into the top 10.

I wouldn't mind fuller figured women if this doesn't affect the skating. Alla is sloppy and looks heavy on the ice. Pavel seems to drag her all over the place. It might be because of the weight.
