Why can't Mai get some PCS love? Is she not consistent? Is she not jumping difficult jumps? --Maybe needs to tano more and add more transitions...
But ...I LIKE her simpler programs, they suit her so much!

She has to work on the transitions and skating skills, maybe ditch some crossover becaure right now judges clearly don't like her much.

Her components in the fs are always around 64-65 which is considerably lower than the other top skaters.

Ever since I saw Yuna last week in NHK, I can't stop looking at her arms. Oh how I wish they were just more fluid and not so stiff.

So? I'm sure she's checked by doctors, she's an athlete! Some girls looks older, some younger. Not everyone looks their age, you know.

There are many athletes who have eating disorders. She does look unhealthy, specially considering her age.
Medvedeva is thin, but Bet is worse.

Really dont want to see yet another girl having those issues.

Yuna same age as Alina at 15, but her presentation is infinitely more mature and better! She actually has variations, expressions, moments, musicality interpretations, refinement and maturity in her figure skating program. 'Figure' is the key... not a jump bean routine. it is outrageous to know her PCS won't be anywhere near her no matter what she does. I'd have Mai above lil bet actually just a tad, based on jumps, but I guess the protocol will be interesting to see how the Russian and Kaz judge 'judged'.


That was well skated Yuna, what unfortunate fall towards the end.

Yuna has some wonderful qualities. Hard to believe she is so young. Love those edges. I do think her spread eagle should be banned however.

Exactly. It's not about your age, but what you put out on the ice. The judging and what it encourages is so suspect :noshake:

I think in her case it's genetics. She doesn't need to take after her mother. Or puberty has not hit her yet. She might be a late bloomer.
