2017 U.S. Nationals Championship Men SP

I'm am tired of people saying Nathan should get lower PCS than Jason. When you splat all over, PCS scores should be deducted accordlingly. That program was a mess from Jason.

I want Nathan and Jason as the team so badly. If Jason is healthy, he can compete near the top, Shoma beat him at Skate America but Jason's score was really respectable considering the TES difference.

I hope there are less falls/pops on Sunday.

Even without the splats the program isn't very good :/

It's been pretty obvious that he has 'arrived' a long time ago. He still does not deserve that PCS.

So reduce it to 38 and he's still over 100, still in first place. I don't see what the problem is. And Nathan didn't really start to "arrive" until the Grand Prix Final. With this skate, he shows it was no fluke.

American men are truly lackluster. No quad SP is ranked 2nd. Nathan very impressive though.

Look who isn't skating that was competing in 2015. Jeremy, Josh, Adam, Richard D either injured sitting out or retired. Tell me what other country can lose talent like that and still be as strong?

I still wouldn't send Ross even if he holds onto 2nd spot. I really like Ross but chances are, he'd most likely bomb at Worlds.

It is really bad timing. Despite the smiles, Jason is still a competitor and a hard worker and it must be really frursrating to not be able to give what you know you can do.

Nathan and Vincent for the World Team!

Jason is not really in a position to help get a third spot back. Vincent is.

The savage comment was aimed for the Courtney Hicks part.

Oh. I was striving for levity at this terrible time.

I am sad for Max. He does seem to be trying and he has nice jumps.

It's just amazing to me that two such talented skaters can be so low at their own nationals. I guess it says a lot about the depth of the field in the U.S.A.

As long as we have 1 skater as a medal threat at Worlds, I'll be ok with that. Unfortunately, our defending Champion is out with an Injury and will be missing Worlds. We still have the free program this weekend so, I wouldn't write anyone off just yet.
