Yes and I think that is going to be very close, especialy since i think S&K and J&C could pass 1 or both Canadian pairs. Atleast 1 of them has to stay in front of those 2 teams now,along with the other Russians. The strong performances by the current top 3 put alot of pressure on all the teams in this flight, as intense as those fighting for the actual medals in the next.

Respect for skating like that after what Alexa has been through, but I think US will be down to one spot for the Olympics. They did all that they could. They hardly skated bad, but there are so many great pairs at this Worlds. They really needed some help from D/F and they didn't give them any with their disaster SP that couldn't even make the LP. This really should be the final nail in the coffin to USFSA to finally rescue their pairs program.

I was thinking if both team made it, 1 only had to make top 12. Forgot one team didn't even qualify for the free skate. Oh well, should have sent C/T and let them enjoy one year in World.

Pairs who don't make the FS get 18 placement points max (well, the 17th pair gets 17) regardless of actual placement. So Alexa and Chris need to be 10th or higher

Hopefully this skate by D&R atleast put them in 3rd now, 1st would be ideal, to give I&M some breathing room for the 3 spots. Either way the pressure will soon be on them too.

Portuguese commentators of yesterday finally got word that Eric was hurt thus the 3T they were claiming was because of Meagan's inability to land a 3Lz.
