2017 Worlds Pairs SP

For Japanese pairs, correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but only singles seems popular in Japan. Small talent pool to work with if no one is interested.

If a WR is going to be established, I really hope it's S/H with their short!

News about Tarasova and Eric, though? Such a shame to get injured right now...I hope they are coping and wish all the top guns to skate their best!

Have we some nws about Tarassova or Radford
they both skate tonight?

Nothing new so far, which means that they will probably skate. But the fact that Tarasova ended up needing 10 stitches... ghhh, that's horrible :hopelessness:

Denney and Frazier?? :( why so looow?? These comming groups are pached thou... goo vanessa and morgan!!

No, but I'm watching group that was before break, so I'll get there :) Thank for heads up! :luv17:

It was during the interval, just after they showed Duhamel / Radford's FS from last year.

Even if you're fast-forwarding through it, you'll definitely spot her. Because she is wearing a bright orange jumper!

Did Ziegler/Kiefer just nailed that SBS Lutz in the warm-up or are my eyes deceiving me?!!!

Japan is behind because they initially didn't place pairs and dance as highly important due to cultural reasons of it being considered improper for a couple to dance close together or act romantically together in public, which is what is necessary for figure skating partnerships. China is ahead because they began crafting pairs very early on. Yao Bin is chiefly responsible for lighting dynamite underneath China's pairs program after he was embarrassed by his and his partner's results at the 1980 World championships.

That is very true, but the Japanese Fed are sending their pairs overseas to train with D/R's group for a while now, so I thought that it was interesting that some pairs are compatible in terms of height but are never able to produce a good twist even though they stay together for a few years. S/K and especially Italian pairs. Their twists are always borderline.

They can and have landed it in competition too, just not super recently. They are both decent jumpers really, they did singles for a long while.
