2017 Worlds Pairs SP

The Judges need to leave some room - after all there are 2 RUS pairs in the next group! With the scores we are seeing so far is it possible that the World Champs form the last 2 years may not even be in the final group for the free. Any little slip from them and D/R could find themselves down around 8th or 9th place!

Can the whole skating fandom band together to petition and beg the ISU to include a clause in all broadcasting rights that sky cams and all other unnecessary camera angles are banned (until replays if they really must) for coverage of FS? If the Olympics do this as well I'm going to weep.

Why not WR for that? The performance was brilliant!!!!!!!

rules has changed a little bit... Pairs used to have different bv for some elements and 2nd half bonus for FS.

This program, IMO is better than that... had Sui/Han skated last (or, you know, were Russians skating in Russia, lol) they might have scored over 82, but judges are leaving some room on the PCS, presumably.

(I would say I don't know why, but I know exactly why. It is because the Empress was doing some serious peanut smuggling during the second interval).

ISU Live results tells me all of Italian, American, Chinese team skated really well. Good for them! but sad a hope for Japanese pair gone ;;;;;;

I usually like skycam but this here really needs better work. I think skycam shows better the ice coverage and speed of skaters, especially pairs when they do mirrored skating

Part of that StSq is my favorite part of the program. The expression! The sass! To go with this particular music.

Which is why, if I were a producer, I'd maybe get it used for replays. Then it would be useful to review those aspects. During the actual performance, simple full length shots that allow you to see the feet, full body movement and facial expression are so much better, IMO.

My guess is GOEs lost on SBS spins, and levels lost. It went from 45.3 to 44.4, when most teams' TES were going up even after the counter stopped. Also, they are probably saving it for the next group. S/H might have to give their all for the FS; no buffer for them this time it seems. I so want them to win though
