2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

I would love to see a resurgence from Liza, Elena and Anna the old ladies of Russian skating. It is sad how with Anna out due to injury she was forgotten so quickly. And Liza is a former world champion. Radinova rose at the wrong time or she too may have been a world champion. I am hoping these ladies can bring it next season.

Her coach Evgeny Rukavitsyn said in the latest interview that she had lack of discipline, started getting mature and got swallowed by the world of temptations.

I guess I'm not really surprised. She is absolutely stunning and based on her Instagram I think she's shown an interest in modeling. She probably also just wants a chance to feel like a normal teenager. She did move to Mishin though, so hopefully that will mean good things for her.

Trusova: When i see comments like "she will not survive, she will lose her jumps" I immediately close the article

I'm not a poor child. Nobody forces me to do what I do. On the contrary, coaches sometimes stop me: "Too much jumping! So much is not necessary!"

And I was not deprived of my childhood either. I do the same as other children: I ride a bicycle, go to the movies, study at school. No one should worry for me, I'm fine.

Why do many think that I will get injured? I had no injuries, and I hope, I won't have them. Injuries can be avoided if you do everything right.

I've read this article not too long ago:

Prices in Russia are different, obviously. Still, wanted to make a list of how much our girls earned in competition. To see if they cover the costs. #getMONEYgurl

* - can't find the ISU document on the Team Challenge Cup so the prize money per person is unknown... Wikipedia gives a dead link. Also, no clue about Russia's monetary reward for Oly medals. IIRC it was 4 mil. roubles but I'm not sure...

ETA: found the OM money. https://www.kp.ru/daily/26570.3/3584926/
Gold - 4 mil roubles, silver - 2.7 mil, bronze - 1.7 mil...

The thing is that Olympic rewards for Medvedeva, Lipnitskaya, Sotnikova and Zagitova are almost certainly as big as all other money they've earned by competing.

don't forget about taxes and % for coaches.
Well it's OBVIOUS that these are nominal prize money amounts. Also, skaters pay coaches on a monthly basis. I've heard about the "% for coaches" thing but is it even true? Is it an official transaction or just skater exploitation? What are the numbers? If you have info give links please.

From what i've heard skaters give 20-30% of prize money to coaches.

If they pay on a monthly bases plus a prize money %, that is pure exploitation! Too bad that without prooflinks this info. is only on a rumor (zero value) level. :(

Puremagic was talking about creating a separate FS league. I carry forth the initiative to create the FSAA (FS athlete association) which will fight against figure skaters! :angry1:

(forum needs pitchfork smiley!)

The Russian skaters give a percent of their earnings (including those from shows) to the Russian Federation.
Sharing with coaches - it depends from case to case. I remember that Stolbova and Klimov were talking about sharing (like half of their earnings?!!) with the coaching team.

Not the 2017 - 2018 World Gold Medalists. How is that laughable! Go figure..🙂🙂

It means that Evgenia's brand is really valuable. ALthough she didn't participate at Worlds this year and didn't win OGM, she has many endorsements.
