She can honestly just live off her looks if she needs to.

It takes more than just looks to make a living. Skating gives her a niche. There are already tons of models and actresses.

And that's not a bad life- media appearances and skating shows (especially in Japan). I just hope she doesn't think she's disappointing anybody- and that she's not disappointed in herself :sad21: She seems like a sweet girl and she's a lovely skater to watch

I love Mai’s dress. I hope she can skate to something that leaves more impact. She’s a lovely skater, but doesn’t really have the it factor. But with good programs she can make an impact like Kaori

Mai is extremely talented and a lovely skater, but I think she and Honda make for a study in opposites — Honda has all the personality and performance and innate ability to connect to an audience, but the technical content isn’t quite as rich. And Mai has some fantastic technical abilities, but the performance just isn’t there for me.
