I pray Yelim doesn’t get nervous and pulls it all together for the free skate - I know she’s capable.
I know people are wishing for her to fail - so here’s some positivity for her - fingers crossed
I actually think this is the perfect position for Yelim.
She’s not trying to hold onto the second place she needs to fight to get it. I think this will help with the pressure as she has nothing to lose and everything to gain.
she's been pretty consistent so far this season so i'm keeping my hopes up!
@Spirals for Miles! why so angry? what would you say to those people who have been crying for hours about Alina getting higher PCS scores than Yuzuru Hanyu then? it's two different judging panels and people did argue that alina had minor issues on her other jumps (tarasova too just said that) yet she got really high GOEs on them so what exactly are you trying to prove?
Just to put things in perspective, both Ting and Yelim got higher GOE on their 2A than Alina's incredible 2A with the hardest entry to date.
And Nebelhorn was pretty generous.

no need at all, judges can do it by themselvesas for all russian final, i am about 95% sure that there is some sort of agreement with ISU that does not encourage rusfed to allocate skaters in a way to make that likely
I'll be praying she'll pull off a FS like she did last time. Of course I love watching her skate regardless of scores, but with the stakes...

It's not like Yelim and Cui had no difficult entry... Also, they have much better axel than Alina(who has a pretty good axel but it's just not as big as Yelim's and Cui's). Alina's landing also looked a bit tight. I think it's probably her posture, which imo, affects everything she does on the ice.
Not that you can/should actually compare scores across different events but:

Please, do tell me what would the GOE be for these jumps on your book! I think it could be a good exercise. Let's check some bullets!
1) very good height and very good length (of all jumps in a combo or sequence)
2) good take-off and landing
3) effortless throughout (including rhythm in Jump combination)
4) steps before the jump, unexpected or creative entry
5) very good body position from take-off to landing
6) element matches the music
Regardless of what happens Saturday, Yelim has made a huge leap forward with her skating. The quality has improved so much. Not only is she definately going to 4CC, but she’s put herself in the running for that Worlds slot. I am so proud and inspired by her progress.
just realized that Alena & Ting did not get edge calls on their lutzes
this panel gives 0 effs!
well it's nothing new but i was especially surprised to see vasilieva and araki's scores! i expected vasilieva's pcs to be higher and araki's tes was... suspicious
