Solid 2A+3T to open. Strong 3F with good flow out. 3Lz+2T landed (3Lz likely < and called <). Good speed through the flying camel spin (Level 4). Gentle edging and smooth change of positions through teh choreo sequence. Stronger second 3Lz (might be < and also called <). Clean 3Lo+2T+2Lo and another 3Lo. Nice low and centered sit spin in the combo spin (Level 4). Fine 2A to end the jumps. Good agility through the step sequence with fast movements (Level 3). A bit of a bobble in the camel spin entry in the last spin (Level 2V).

Another competent performance for Nicole here. She was able to keep up with the tempo of the music choices, both the silence of the first half and the accelerated second half. Shame on the under-rotations on the 3Lz and the shakiness on the last spin. But apart from that, a pleasant, well-rehearsed program. She could have more speed and more projection, but she has a calm elegance about her that is nice to watch.

Shaky landing on the 3Lz+2T but landed (could be < and was called <). 2A+1Lo+2S a bit scratchy. Better 3F (but called on the edge and also <). Layback spin a bit slow and basic (Level 4). Careful turns through the step sequence, could have a bit more fire to match the music (Level 2). Good 3Lo in the second half. Couldn't get the free leg out, so a fall on the 3Lz (also called <). A pop on the intended 3S into a single. A touch-down on the 2A+2T. And a bit unstable on the combo spin (Level 4) and rough on the last sit spin as well (Level 4).

Some fatigue evident in the last minute of her program. Isadora had trouble with a lot of the jumps, not able to get the free leg out a few times. Lots of under-rotations and one edge call as well. Her performance just suffered because of it, just deflated and not meeting the level of passion inherent in the music.

High 3Lz+3T, both tanos. Strong 3F with a tano as well. Calm and completed layback spin (Level 4). Footwork a bit slow but nice turns nonetheless (Level 3). Clean 3Lo and a 3F+1Lo+2S with a tano on the 3F. Good height on the second tano Lutz. Spiral a bit wobbly and deficient. Good 2A+2T and an alright 2A again. Decent centering on the flying camel spin (Level 4) and the final change foot spin (Level 4).

A collected, clean skate for Sotskova today. She has balanced flow and good arms that made the phrasing of Claire de Lune pass by. I still wish her tanos had a better arm position, in part because it jars with the music. Her choreography could be fuller and have more stretch, but the transitions have a good variety and decent speed. Good performance for her and nice comeback from the short program.

Smooth 3Lz, a bit off so unable to get the combo off. Finished the landing on the 3F (has an ! call). Good attack on the step sequence (Level 4). Very fast flying camel spin (Level 4). Great length and ice coverage on the 2A+1Lo+3S. Good fight on the second 3Lz+2T. Not enough height on the 3Lo, and so a fall (also called <). A step-out on the 3S, just had no time to reocver. Very good speed on the combo spin (Level 4). A little rough on the 2A but completed. Fantastic spiral with wonderfully high leg positions. And a lovely attitude position and wonderful speed through the layback spin (Level 4).

A shame on some of those landings. Perhaps the boot problem really unnerved her. She'll lose base value points in a few spots not able to get the combo off the salchow and not getting the 3T off. The fall on the 3Lo, also underrotated, will also hurt. I do think she sold the program more throughout with good flourishes of the arms and strong speed in both the spins and across the ice. An alright performance, all considered.

Wonderfully clean 3Lz+3T combo. Nice spiral into the 2A. Nice changees of edges into the 3F. Fast layback spin with nice Bielmann spin (Level 4). Nice accents through the step sequence and very nice edges (Level 4). A slight step-out on the 2A+3T (might be < and called <). Another step-out on the 3Lz (also called <). Better height on the 3Lo+2T+2Lo. Good landing on the 3S. Decent spiral and ina beaur in the choreo sequence. Nice sit positions in the flying spin (Level 4). Good change of edge and speed in the final spin (Level 4).

A few errors on the jumps here, just didn't seem to get the height needed to get the rotations done on a few of the jumps in the second half. She does have good speed across the ice and her edgework is quite secure through the step sequence. A bit rough on the technical side and she can still work on having more impact and getting more challenging choreography.

A turn-y landing on the 3T+3T. Off on the take-off on the 3Lz, so a fall (could be <). A turn-out on the 3F as well, not going that great... Nice flying camel spin (Level 4), but an okay layback spin that could have more speed (Level 3). A hand-down and very rough 3Lz with no combo. And a fall on the 3Lo (also called <), ouch. Fine 2A+2T after a spiral. Only a 2S+2T sequence, just not feeling confident. A bit deflated for sure, and you can tell through the step sequence (Level 2) and the change combo spin (Level 4).

Feel so bad for her. The problems just started right off the top and she wasn't able to get her take-offs right, just lost her footing and got tight on the rest of the jumps. Just a very rough, rough performance for her. I hope she can still be happy with her performance in the team event and put this behind her.

Alright 3Lz, a bit wobbly so not able to get the combo. Much better 3F with a smooth landing. Secure 2A+3T into a flying camel spin with a good layover and donut positions. Footwork was a bit slow but still dainty (Level 3). Careful into the 3Lo, well landed. Wonderful 3Lz+3T+2T, very clinch there. Good 3S+2T. Nice 2A. Great sit positions in the combination spin (Level 4). Nice choreo sequence into a proficient layback spin (Level 4).

Yay! Great performance for Dabin Choi! It was a bit rough on the opening 3Lz, but she did very well to tack on that 3-3 combo on the second 3Lz. Sure, she might not have the most elegant choreography or the best edges, but her poise and jump technique were brilliant. Very clean sheet and clean program. She has done her country proud. A performance to treasure! :D

Ouch, a skid off on the 3A take-off. Out of nowhere, why?! 3F+3T nicely landed, and a nice 3S as well. Great combo spin (Level 4) with a strong flying camel spin (Level 4), took a little bit for her to find her center. Good 2A+3T+2T in the second half. Nice spiral before the attempted 3Lz, but only able to do a 1Lz. 3F completed close to the boards. Step sequence was a bit slow across the ice (Level 3). A sweet choreo sequence. Good 3Lo+2T and a wonderful layback spin to finish (Level 4).

Huh, I haven't really seen her pop that much this season, but that waltz jump pop on the 3A was very unexpected and then the pop on the lutz will hurt her base value by a lot. Just a loss of about 13 points and of course no positive GOE on any of them. She'll definitely look back at her team event free skate as what she'll remember her Olympics by, not this one. That's okay, Mirai. You'll get over this.

Good landing on the 3Lo to open. 3Lz+3T looks clean (might be < on the 3Lz). Solid 3F landing as well. Strong flying camel spin with the donut and a well-centered combo spin (Level 4). Good, floying edges through the step seqeuence (Level 4). Clean 3Lz+2T+2Lo with a few tanos. And a solid 2A+3T as well and a spot-on 3S. Great forward spiral in the choreo. A wonderful 2A and a stupendous layback spin to finish (Level 4).

What a dramatic yet wonderful breath of fresh air. She may be small in size but she doesn't skate small. Great carriage and much cleaner jumps than she usually does, with no under-rotations it seems. Satoko is like a hummingbird, so quick and light, but she was able to carry the story and the music of Madame Butterfly. She might podium with this program if there are mistakes by the top...

Wow, strong 3Lz! Great job, Carolina! Step-out on the 3F. Safely into the 3Lo. Great positions in the camel spin (Level 4). Just a little bit of travel in the combo spin (Level 3). A little forward on the 3T but completed. Somehow got the 2A+1Lo+3S (might be <). A bit rough on the 2A but okay. Better 3S+2T. Beautiful step sequence, though a bit tight on the spiral coming around the corner (Level 4). And a competent combination spin to finish (Level 4).

She'll lose a bit on the base value without the triple-triple combo. Her artistry will likely keep her in the top six, but she had to dig out a lot of the landings on the jumps today. The edgework and the maturity she has are masterful, and I can just her skate even without the jumps. She won't podium but she'll live on as a benchmark for artistry in ladies figure skating.
