2018 Rostelecom Cup Men's Short Program

I actually gasped. No. Misha. I thought I was used to this rollercoaster.

You are one of the only men who can sell such a sexy, sleek routine. You have EDGES for years. Your POPS are bigger than most quads. Why do you do this to me.

oh, forward-style landing, long time, no see...Aaaaaand a pop, our old friend...

He was landing flawless 3a's in the warmup :sad4:

I should be used this to by now, but it makes me sad every time. Sigh

He just had to follow his compatriots' footsteps, didn't he? Sigh... still, monster lutz is monster lutz.

Mikhail Kolyada

- OUCH, forward landing on the 4T<< (-5)
- Really great 3Lz but only a +2T (+3)
- Nice centering on the camel spin (+3)
- OH NO, only a 1A (INVALID)
- Good edgwork but not as energetic as I've seen (+2)
- Good centering and positions in sit spin (+2)
- Great speed through the final spin, a little wobbly on last catchfoot (-2)

One word: YIKES...

Finally gets the stream going again.

Gosh, I hope this is the start of Mikhail's skate because that TES is frightening otherwise.

I do love that belt.

Oh dear...it is not. OMG, he's so so disappointed! Don't be sad Mikhail! The people still love you!

Well, if you exclude the jumps Kolyada's skate is quite nice... the first ten seconds were so strong, then... :palmf:

OK Hanyu, you know what must be done...

I really thought he'd get it together here in front of a home crowd and secure a silver :hopelessness:

I'm so sorry to jinx the poor boy. But honestly I thought he could do no worst than the rest of the field. Apparently I was wrong. :slink:

Mikhail seems to need some mental coaching.
