Anyone know the starting line up?
Sasha will most likely not get pcs in Anyas and Alionas realm, especially if they skate after another.
Three? There are four Anastasias Scott...Gracheva is also in.
Talalaikina I think.
The 3Lz+2A sequence surprises me, I thought she would quit using that after the GPs. But I see why it's still there...
That 3T must mean she's trying 4T, and has replaced her second 3A with it.
That's the only thing that makes sense.
So no 3-3 combo because the problem with 4T is popping to a triple would Zayak a 3-3 if she replaced the 3Lz+2A sequence with one.
She doesn't have a loop combo and...does Liza ever do euler combos? I don't think I've seen that either.
Voronov looks great!
I don't really follow men, especially the russian ones, so no and I'm not planning toHast thou compared Samarin & Aliev's PCS over the past couple year's at Russian Nationals?
I am somehow under the impression that she did an euler combo at a couple of meets. Couldn't name one though. :S
Voronov looks great!
Who?

Wonder if there are bookmakers taking bets on the outcome and what the odds are ....

Liza's layout is so disappointing. Is there even a point to Liza learning the 4T if she's going to replace a 3A with it? She will lose a lot of the BV she gains to replacing a 3A with a 2A. How much higher is her BV with the quad than if she were to do two 3As? She's not even repeating the quad so maybe that time would've been better spent working on her axels and triples. If she's trying to make the world team, now would be the time to risk it all. With that planned layout she doesn't have much of a chance beating the 3A if they skated like they did at GPF. But if she were to maximize her layout, she'd have a fighting chance. She could have a much higher BV doing two 3As and 4Ts even if she excludes her weaker triples. It could be higher than Alena's (and close to Anna's if you combine SP and FS?).
A 4T is 9.5 points, and the difference between a 3A and 2A is 4.7 points. So really all that work for a quad is only giving her +4.8 BV with her current layout. Where as if she had two 4Ts replacing two 2As she could have +12.4 BV. There's not much of an advantage to playing it safe here. Where as if she risks it all and it goes well, she could get a spot on the world team. This really makes me appreciate Sasha for the maximum based on her jump arsenal. Liza's jump arsenal is only second to Sasha (and maybe Anna?) but her layout doesn't reflect this at all.
Because she has "proper" jump technique. When using such technique - it's especially hard to make +3T combos with it - without URs and/or falls. It's related to both first (lutz/flip) and second (toeloop) jump in a combo. All other ladies with such technique (Tsurkskaya, Sotskova, Kawabata, Chen, Kim, Paganini etc.) were having troubles with such combos for a reason - and preferred doing 3Lz+2T or 2A+3T combos instead. Why doesn't Liza do 3Lz3T anymore? And better yet, why doesn't she do 3F3T in the FS? The 3Lz-2A sequence is frustrating to look at every time. I'm guessing the salchow is a weak jump for her?
