I really want Kromykh to go... but not at the expense of Valieva! Why is everybody getting injured? :sad4:

Nevermind, she won't be there either. Gleik apparently named the Sambo team and the only surprise is that Erokhov will compete. Khromykh wasn't named.

She might. I just read that Valieva isn't going due to injury.

This is devastating news... if it's true... there goes maybe the most interesting confrontation of the year... at least for me... I was really looking forward to seeing Kamila vs 3A... :sad4:

Well, according to the preliminary start list there is "senior" juniors and "junior" juniors. I don't think the "juniors" will challenge the "seniors" for the medals like in the recent National Championships.

Is the competition to full ISU scoring or adapted to the junior age range?

I don't see why they wouldn't pick Maya, even if she wasn't first alternate after all - she has a real chance of JGP spots next season, way more so than any of the other girls that are substitutes.

So if Maya Kromykh isn’t going in place of Kamila... who is? update: I guess it's Dmitrieva, since she's first alternate with 13+1

I hope Valieva will still be able to get the JGPs she deserve next season. I’m sad we cannot see her beautiful spins and SS at Jr Nats.

Kanysheva is only ranked 11th among Junior ladies? She is the JGPF bronze medalist, did she just perform poorly at her domestic competitions? I really her and Tarakanova to make the team but I don’t see it happening, sadly. I hope Alena K takes the title.

Really looking forward to the Pairs. A very competitive field. After a strong showing at Senior Nats, M/ G are probably favourites but I would like to A/K make the team. It will be interesting to see who wins dance after the near dead heat at JGPF.

After the performance of the Senior Men in Minsk, there will be extra eyes on the juniors to see if the next star is here. Interesting that Erokohov is entered, will he win? Gumennik has done well this season and I’ve also enjoyed Mozalev.

Whatever happens I expect it wii be a great competition.

Kanysheva only did two domestic competitions that I can remember of, Cup of Moscow (?) and Kudryavtsev, but for the latter she withdrew before the FS so there is no score to post for that one. At the Cup of Moscow she fell on the 3Lz+3Lo in the SP and had the +3Lo UR in the FS.

Pairs and Ice Dance will be pretty interesting too, but the real deal is the ladies.

I'm sure it'll be a great competition across the board, in all disciplines.

I'm even more excited for Dance and Pairs than I am for Singles

Both Shevchenko/Eremenko and Ushakova/Nekrasov will by vying for the Gold, as will Mishina/Galliamov and Kostiukovich/Iallin. I think M/G will edge out K/I, but that S/E and U/N will be too close to call....!
