Why is it stupid? They are part of Team USA, skating for their country, not just themselves, and their achievement means that the US will be able to send two teams to Eorlds next year.

And honestly, it's pretty likely that SK-K will be back in the lead next year. Ashley and Tim are no fools; they've got to know their best shot at getting to go to Worlds again relied on them getting that second spot for (presumably) themselves next year.

edit: although that said, Ashley and Tim aren't all that far behind. SK-K's PB is 207 and change from 2016; Ashley and Tim's PB is 196 and change from last month. So the gap is there, but it's closing.

I just hope she's fine. Same with Matteo G. It was an ugly collision. I'd keep my fingers crossed for both but that would make typing a bit too challenging for limited me!

They are allowed. I imagine it's not that easy to get those harder triples consistent while working on a bunch of other pair elements. And why on earth would someone with a 3A do pairs?

Well, this is not a team competition after all. I didn't mean to say it's stupid to celebrate that in general, i was meant to say how its stupid/strange to celebrate with those exact words in the K&C ('2 spots, 2 spots'), instead of celebrate at first your own achievment of placing in top 10...
