Yeah, we may need to tell Bruno to start sabotaging that team.;)
Don't even joke about that 🤣. They are too cute. I will personally come for Bruno if he doesn't continue to help them improve.

Keegan absolutely did his job here. He really is ( as everyone knows) just the nicest person with the most beautiful SS and spins. How can you not love him? I think he skated so well here because he was skating for his wife and for Nam. Just such a good person that he does better when his skates aren't for personal glory. Such a wonderful skate Good for him!

Keegan did great, happy to see him get 2 spots. However, whatever happens next season, someone is going to be disappointed. It sucks there’s no way for them to earn 3 spots when they have 3 strong skaters. I hate that their Olympic future depends on how well someone else did in a previous year. They really need to update this system.

I mean it’s not just 3, there are a lot of talented men in Canada wanting those spots.

Now that I’ve thought more about it. A team bronze should really be the ultimate goal for Canada. Most disciplines don’t have a medal contender, or at least not more than an outside shot but as a whole they could secure a team medal.

Also when do the WTT skaters get announced

When Keegan went on the ice with the duct tape, I thought to myself, here we go.... prepare for a disastrous free skate. What is Keegan thinking? 🙄

I’m glad I was wrong. Keegan skated his heart out. 6th place is amazing! I think Canada is the fourth strongest nation in terms of Men’s skating depth. Japan is first followed by USA and then Russia. They arguably are strong enough to deserve three spots. So, I’m glad they fought and earned that second spot. Keegan did this for Skate Canada and for Nam and Roman too. This is what a team player is all about. He was so focused to ensure a top ten slot for someone else to get an opportunity to go to the Olympics. I’m going to be sad for whomever doesn’t make it between him, Roman and Nam. I guess World Trophy is the start of the battle for the second spot.

let's nor forget that one more year could mean that Joseph or Conrad improve to a point where they can be spoilers ... and never count Nic Nadeau out ;) he is capable of so much if he remains injury free.... but yeah.... Canadian men are talented and it goes beyond the top 3. This is exactly how is should be in a rebuilding phase.

The Hulk comes through!! So proud and happy for Keegan. He gained another spot and if the rest of the Men step it up, things will be back to "Normal"
normal would mean 3 times world champion like Patrick or Kurt ;) that is my kind of normal ;)

Right, I followed Patrick for so many years. I still think about him all the time and some day I'll transfer my Video of Take 5 to a different format. Fortunately, I have it saved in my computer and on a disk.

Doing a rough tally based on nations best results in the various skates and using team event scoring (including RSF, US, China, Canada, Japan, Italy, France and Germany)

By my math Canada would have finished tied with Japan for bronze (59pts), US finished a comfortable 2nd (67 pts), and RSF ran away with it as expected (76 pts). China finished a fair ways back in 5th with 52.

Should be an interesting battle for the medals at the Olympic team even, for a change. Key for Canada and China would be good showing in singles, whereas for Japan it's all about scoring points in pairs/dance

Looking at Worlds as a whole, it was surprisingly good for Canada.

Met or exceeded expectations for results in women's, men's and dance... and given their levels, that was as good as MTM were going to place in pairs.

Well done team! Very proud of you all!
