You know, people keep saying that Aliona is unmotivated and needs Eteri's structure to push her but from what Plushenko and Yana are saying, it sounds like Aliona kept wanting to push through the injuries and illnesses when the coaches were trying to get her to stop and heal first.

Rudkovskaya - about the transition of Kostornaya: "Evgeny and I have some kind of relief"

Wife of two-time Olympic figure skating champion Evgeny Plushenko, commented to SE on Alena Kostornaya 's return to Eteri Tutberidze 's group , from which she left for Plushenko's team in the summer of 2020.

“The main thing now is to restore health,” said Rudkovskaya “SE”. - In the transition to another team, I do not see any problems. Evgeny and I have a kind of relief. Since worrying about her health all the time is also not pleasant. I believe that everything fell into place, because it is impossible to train and recover at the same time. Perhaps the next time we recruit athletes, I will recommend Evgeny to take health certificates, as well as documents about the duties of not only the coach, but also the athlete. We did a lot of good for Alena. I think she will never forget it. "

Rudkovskaya also told the details of Kostornaya's state of health.

“My husband has already given an interview in which he told everything clearly and clearly. I can only say that the federation, Alena's parents and Kostornaya herself know that for maximum work and full return in training, you need to have health, - said Rudkovskaya "SE". - Alena came to us not in the best shape, she, unfortunately, has health problems and it was impossible to solve them quickly, plus a coronavirus and a complication. My husband suggested that she skip this season, take care of her health, but Alena continued to rush into battle. Kostornaya is a cool girl, an excellent athlete and a very strong skater, but for training you need to have health, with which she has problems. In general, for six months of training, Alena worked only for 4 months. Two months took the disease, so it's too early to draw any conclusions.Evgeni Plushenko and Sergey Rozanov could help her recover, get back in shape, but these two months were not enough. We wish Alena recovery, recovery and speedy recovery. "

I don't understand how this person can have so much influence. Who does she know? One of the biggest figure skating mysteries.
Nothing special, just the most successful coach in the history of figure skating.

Thank you. If I understand this correctly, children aged 14 and under need their parent/guardian to ratify the contract, while those between 15 and 18 don't?
Ah, yes, I misread it.

Ah, yes, I misread it.
Oh, please don't worry about that! I thought you were just being very kind and providing me with the relevant section of contract law, not stating that all minors needed their parents present for contracts. I was trying to make sure I was following the legalese correctly, not wanting to correct you, and I apologise for coming across that way.

I still don't get how it's obvious that therefore everyone in the Russian FS community needs to keep good relations with you for an eternity, and that you have some mystical special influence. If she maintained a high-ranking position it's obvious, but as far as I know she's retired and doesn't work in an official capacity.

An article on one of the Russian sites talking about EG smiling at the end of Mayas 2 quad routine in the Russian Cup Final says Maya is 175cm tall. That shocked me. I knew she was tall and recent pictures she looks so much taller than Anna and KV and she looks the same height as EG. No girl Mayas height has ever been able to do quads or triple axels.

they will take her back

You think she's 175? I don't think so. Eteri's 176 and she's not that close.

Tsurskaya is 171 and to me she looked taller in comparison to Eteri than Khromykh does .-.

She is obviously not 175cm. That's just completely silly

I hope Kostornaya has realistic expectations with going back to Eteri.

Eteri is a brilliant coach but she can't magically make her land triple axel or even quads especially with her physical condition right now.

If she find things were difficult with the set up in the rink with other skaters before, it is going to be more awkward now.

i appreciate the response of AOP. Hopefully this humbles them and make them realize to focus on the important things.

Goodluck to Kostornaya.

I think Maiia herself said that she's 165 cm on Instagram comment but I'm not sure. She is taller than 160 cm now, because bio hasn't been updated for a long time. It's definitely not 175, she doesn't look that much taller than Kamila or Daria.

Edit: it's the maybe the fourth comment under this post where Maiia replies.

Hmm, this is unfortunately not quelling my concerns/preconceived potential problems. Yes, we know she's had Covid. I'm getting more concerned it's not Covid related but another issue. There has been a little too much words from AOP about being healthy, returning to health, as if it's not just Covid keeping her unhealthy. From my personal experience, I was concerned about her appearance/weight loss and how healthily she was going about doing it. Now I'm reading Russian angina is likely more a very bad sore throat.... hmmm..... I think TeamAOP just might be trying to find a way to say "This girl needs HELP for another disorder".
