Besides it was only a song for an exhibition not a competitive program. As for Eteri if she wanted one of her skaters to make a Romeo and Juliet free skate to get back at Sasha it would have been Kamila who is already on the level of 3A.. besides it's been about 3 years since Aliona did her Romeo and Juliet. I guess it was time to bring it back at TT.

Even before Alina’s announcement, Zhenya’s fans knew a Billie Eilish from Zhenya was coming, she gave MANY hints, the ones who didn’t check her social media didn’t know about it, but it’s not like it wasn’t predictable.

Zhenya posted her entire reaction listening to Billie’s album, talking about her favorite songs, she gave uncountable interviews about Billie Eilish, she gabe an interview singing Bag Guy, she posted Instagram stories listening to Bad Guy. It was all she talked about during that month. There are even videos of her listening to the album during the ice shows in which Alina was. Daniil’s announcement came in May 18th, but Zhenya was hinting about Bad Guy since march. Even later, Zhenya admitted in an interview she had a program planned with Bad Guy and the clip where she’s singing Bad Guy in a car interview played all around Russia. Billie Eilish wasn’t as known back then, she became a HUGE success after the promotion of this album. Not that she wasn’t known, but she wasn’t that known. I even remember people in this thread saying they didn’t care or had never heard of her before, which by now is almost impossible someone hasn’t.
