I looked up furosemide, apparently it's a diuretic  So it's possibly she could have been using it non-medically to reduce water retention (look thinner), in which case it would be for aesthetic rather than performance-enhancing reasons. It seems WADA banned it mainly because it could theoretically be used to hide traces of other substances in the system by accelerating their excretion. But if she retired unofficially in Nov (at least, last comp was Dec) and the test wasn't taken till March, I don't see any point in her taking any of those performance-enhancing drugs and covering up with furosemide, as she had no competitions at that point. Plus none of these substances would have persisted in her body for three months (furosemide has a biological half-life of several hours). So I'm guessing the furosemide usage might just be related to body image, like how non-athletes might take 'weight loss pills'.

I think it’s Maria negligence that she didn’t submit documents on her retirement to fed. Like how stupid was that? A few papers and she’s out of this embarrassing situation.
the article said she told the doping agents that she’s no longer competing and retired, but they took the probe regardless as she’s on their list.

what a big lesson to everyone to submit docs on time.

i would assume she used it to slim down for her wedding. Also, for any ladies here: using those kinds of drugs with tons of side effects just to quickly lose weight is dangerous and damaging.

If you post a IG link the video and a picture is visible here. That is good. :)
Also twitter posts (I tested that on the Yuzu thread and it works well). I can see the fan fests exploding with pics and art

Okay so finally the site is up (and I kinda dislike it, sorry GSF 😅) but WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!! Zhenya returned to Eteri?!!!!! The biggest drama twist ever lol!

I'm not particularly happy about it, I worry that it might be too big of a workload for her body again, but just like when she switched to Brian, I support her and good luck.

And similarly to Edwin :D
#ThankYouBrianAndTracy
#ЖеняВперёд ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gurl, in true Edwin fashion, you’re going to have to use #TeamTutberidzeforProgress from now on. 😂😂😂

Scapegoat, maybe? To give the impression that they're serious about anti-doping? It would make sense to pick a retired skater, the impact on the fed (but not her) will be minimal.

All the Russian coaches and athletes should have enough sense to know that with all the allegations around RUSADA that the slightest appearance of doping by an athlete for the foreseeable future is/was going to be met with harsh punishment. The part that probably made this punishment worse was the involvement of forged documents; given that she had already chosen to retire and simply hadn't filed her paperwork all she would have been much better off to simply take the test and when the positive result came out take the suspension, which probably wouldn't have been as bad as the suspension due to forged medical documents, and release a statement that after she ceased her competitive career she decided to start taking the pill to slim down for her wedding, and that as she was planning on retiring she didn't consider that she was still bound to the WADA guidelines that banned the substance.

WTF Masha? For real? Trying to get Russia banned permanently? Yes its only a water pill and its not a PED but its the document issue thats a big part of this. And forging? Are Russia and their athletes ever going to get past this topic? Geez. Strange situation.

Is Russia still OAR in world championships and olympics?

Elena Anatolyevna Ceaikovskaya is visiting Angelsofplusenko Academy. She is not only a fan of Evgheni but also of Alexander Plusenko

Looks like coach Angelina Turenko married an Italian guy and moved to Italy. Not sure what’s going on with Serafima in the light of these news.

Anastasia Tarakanova changed coaches again. She works with Ksenia Ivanova & Adyan Pitkeev, she trained with Ksenia in 18-19 season, while she was at Plushenko. It became a weird tradition for her to change coaches every season. At least she’s not in roller skating.

Well the problem isn't really that she took that while she wasn't actively competing, it's her forging the document. She could just have not forged it.

Speaking of the forum layout, I think it's fine. It of course has way too much white space like just about everything "modernly" designed, but it seems functional. I like brightness, there are a couple websites I frequent with a dark background and white text and if I try reading that for more than a couple minutes I'm essentially blind and need to close my eyes for some 30 seconds before I can read any more. I don't get how people can use dark modes.

It isn't actually due to her faking a document, as if she photoshopped it on her home computer. The hospital that she took the prescription from didn't have a licence to prescribe this medication.
According to her coach back in May, Maria told her she retired and planned on getting married after her last GP (around November/December), and then withdrew from RusNats.
I don't know what made Maria push off applying her documents for retirement, but it was one big silly move.

I don't think she actually was consuming doping and tried to wash it off with Furosemide. Considering her results past 2 seasons, that's the most useless doping ever.
Oh Masha... you ruined it for yourself and cast a shade of doubt on other russian skaters.

The general eye health rule is to use dark mode at night, and light mode during the day. Or, brighter screen during the day and less bright at night.

From UI design perspective, I can find a few things that could be improved. Colors as mentioned already is a big part. :)

I posted about it in her thread. And that is funny she trains in the small rink again. That is the criticised old Plushenko Academy's rink. "Army of Skaters."

Poor Sima
