He reduced the number of shows in last year when he started the coaching everyday with his group. In the past he had 100 shows/year but he refused many invitations. For axample one of the greatest shows the swiss Art on ice. Yes, he will have shows, but that is not sure he is going to skate in it. He said after his retirement he will be producer of shows. We don't know yet. Plus you don't foget when they make shows they give work for many other skaters in Russia!! Radionova, Voronov, Tsurskaya, etc skated in those shows. They were trouble in the pandemic, Averbukh asked money from the state to support them some months ago. Those skaters are happy and very grateful for the planned shows surely.

Last year he has some promising younger aged Novice Ladies. I've noticed he is also warm and affectionate with his kids, so I wish him success. For one thing I enjoy seeing him from time to time. (I still have a crush)

I'd say the right translation for "ругать" would be "to scold"or "to reproach". Though I would not say for sure that swear words are never used by coaches in these cases.
 
Hi, I woke up to the news, but I can’t find a full English translation. could someone please explain what’s currently happening between Adelina (is this sotnikova or another Adelina?) and Liza khudaiberdieva (sp?)

It's the same one, but I don't think we should bring in this bit of drama into this thread. It can (and probably should) go into a thread about skaters' body positivity/health.

While i'm happy he's part of this project in Sochi, at the same time i also feel he has been out from the more competitive scene and that is truly a shame cause if you look at the jumping technique he is teaching (Vasiljevs was with him, Gubanova also, and now Milana Ramashova from Belarus) it's a very good technique and all his skaters are charming, it's not all about the jumps, the packaging is nice.

He's too good to stay in Sochi far from the competitive scene, most skaters want to go Moscow or alternatively SPB because of more funding especially for Moscow.

I'd like to see him coaching male skaters, considering the field in ladies is just way too crowded.

It keeps going up! I guess this means the more endorsements shows etc. her skaters make the more money she makes. If EG was an agent she would be a great agent.

He's got a pretty darn good crew doesn't he? We never say hear anything about him or his team. Doesn't he have that Samo girl too? This Sergei has some girls someone else might be recruiting soon. 😜

He should be facing some kind of criminal misconduct or charges at the very least.
