Tat'yana Mishina: Tuktamysheva is absolutely aiming to jump a quadruple Toeloop

On Friday, October 23rd, the third stage of the Rostelekom Russian Cup starts in Sochi. For the first time this season, the leading figure skaters of Alexey and Tat'yana Mishin's group will appear on the ice: Yelizaveta Tuktamysheva, Mikhail Kolyada, Sof'ya Samodurova, Anastasiya Gulyakova.

In a big interview with Sport Day by Day, Merited Coach of Russia Tat'yana Mishina raised many different topics:

- Tuktamysheva's shoulder injury;

- quadruples of Tuktamysheva and Kolyada, triple Axels of Gulyakova and Samodurova;

- progress of Semyonenko;

- confrontation between Trusova and Valiyeva;

- judging at the second stage of the Cup in Moscow;

- the new president of the Federation of Sankt Peterburg;

- Russia without a World and European Championships ...

I wish she just did Zhenya's choreo because that was a mess. :laugh:
I actually think it's okay. If it was to the music (there are like tempo markings on one of the violins that's not playing the main melody) I'd like it better though. Using Zhenya's opening choreography's would make zero sense (like it's really memorable which is good but it only makes sense for her program).

“But what about the non grata list? So many small children are riding, horror, " - wrote a subscriber. :palmf:
"
“This is the ice of the younger group. At my training session, I train, not take pictures, ”Kostornaya answered. :rock:
We salute the Queen!
At end of the day, it's not only about jumps, skatings, etc - you need the guts to win big

I don't think that Alena not advertising the 3A on social media means that she does not have it back yet. I remember last year she just appeared in Finlandia Trophy and started throwing 3A's around without any hints before that she's planning on including them.

wasn't there a rumour spread over Kostornaya being injured earlier? TSL?

stress fractures are unpredictable and when out of shape, carrying a little extra weight can easily re-occur?

That clip of Alena's choreography looks interchangeable with many things Daniil has done, right down to short spiral. The arms are even more frenetic and even many of the steps and movements look similar after the opening. It's looks much more generic compared to Wakaba's Bond and Elena's Porgy and Bess. But, that choreography does score the best so I see why they'd go in that direction. It's just if the rest of the program looks like that I'd imagine she could've gotten it from Daniil or Rozanov (as seen in her short) for a much cheaper rate.

Just be reasonable, did anybody really think miracles would happen if the presumed stale and generic Gleikhengauz programs were switched for the best choreography money can buy from foreign choreographers? Remember how all the 'haters' constantly dish the work of Gleikhengauz and Tutberidze and praise that of the commercials ...

Kostornaya IMO was so gifted in natural movements, providing connections almost by herself, she'll even do fine all by herself without any external advice.

In a few weeks an interesting comparison can be made, and I already look forwards to the discussions and even more to frame-by-frame dissections of what once was and brought all the medals home and what it all has been forged into between sledgehammer and anvil in the gnome's foundry. Remembering how the Crystal Dome is often compared to a gemstone cutting and polishing atelier, a factory even, conveyor belts and all?

And Kostornaya can hardly be considered a rough stone anymore.

What is the proper term in gemstone manufacturing? 'dressing a stone' vs 'undressed' which looks silly in this context ...:rolleyes::cautious:
