I think Sasha will go with 4Lz, 4S, 4T+3T and 4T+1Eu+3S.
Plushy said a couple of months ago that they were starting with 2 quads, then add the 4S. Mihailov said that he was preparing(phisically) her for 5 quads.

I don't know why they prefer 4S over 4F. 4S is the most Sasha's unstable quad. I would prefer an (e), or a (!) call on the Flip than a 4S fall. 4F has a higher BV than 4S. But they are the coaches and they know what is best for her and she makes her decisions about her layout.

She is reserving the 4Loop for GP Rostelecom. She wants to be the first lady that land it and she doesn't want that Young Yoo take the credit for it (NHK Trophy).
And I wish she wouldn't. She tends to die at the end of the program when she does too many quads. I think it is just too much, unless they add more rest in the middle of the program. But we'll see. I have a feeling she is going to try the loop-the good thing about the loop is while it tends to be UR-she has more control over it, and she doesn't seem to wipe out on it as much as the 4S.

Talking about Anna and her programs this year, I also think that they are not the best vehicle to show her range and her full capabilities. I wish they had given her both Akatieva's programs to see how she would have done with a sassy jazzy short and a more nuanced long. I think Akatieva lucked out this year, in that she got the best pair of programs of TT (while for example, Kamila got a fantastic short but a less fantastic long program).
Anna had a pretty fantastic FS but then they ruined it by changing the music so she now has two mediocre programs, unfortunately.

By the way, Veronika Zhilina's latest 4T on Instagram was turbo-prerotated. Very unfortunate, she was pretty much our only possibility for quads with textbook technique for a female skater. I guess I can't talk about my perceived reasons for that due to the disclaimer, either.

I would prefer 4S as jump number 3 because 4Lz and 4T-3T have their own place in the program with musical accents and I don't see how salchow can replace any of these jumps, since it is performed in the middle of the rink and there may be a question of timing (but 4S is inconvenient for Sasha and it is risky to put it as the third jump)

The thing about Anna is that we've seen extraordinary performances from her, so the difference between those and and what she has the season is glaring compared to her musicality. Her programs this season aren't bad, and the SP is even good, imo, but they're just too bland for someone with her talent. On less musical skaters, they could be the best programs for them - inoffensive and generic. But with Anna, when we've seen her versatility in expressing different kinds of music and choreography, like Perfume, Firebird, A Comme Amour, and Dreamcatcher, these ones just pale in comparison. She's great at using her face, but her real talent is the body movement, especially her posture changing with the music. Last season was good for her because she had a dramatic lyrical but unique SP where she could user her facial expressions and a very nuanced and accented FS (both in the softer first half and lively second half) where the expression was much more in her body movements than her face. This year, her programs are both less nuanced and much more similar to each other and also more generic.

I hope next season she gets a sassy maybe jazzy short and a beautifully nuanced free like a tango. Or even a classical free again, but a piece of music with highs, lows, and accents. She's a skater that doesn't need "help" in the form of generic lyrical programs, she needs vehicles to showcase her abilities.
I adored Anna's Ex last year, showing a really outgoing and playful side of her.
Sometime if I'm not in the right mood I find her "boring", but if I look into why it's on the programs not her.
It's mostly her being light as a feather with that sad/suffering expression on the face.
I hope they will go for something emotionally stronger and more varied, because she can do more.

All information is in the competition thread. Starts at half past three Swedish time.

How does samodurova get a level 4 on her layback when the beilmann position isn't directly over her head? The foot is kinda behind her neck...
