I was really looking forward to seeing Anna skate! What does this mean for her WS and SB if this ends up being the only international event?
Pneumonia is no joke, it took Liza out for a while (and she was hospitalized as well?). Hopefully her immune system can take care of it quickly. And good for Anna and whoever else made the responsible decision to pull her out (parents, coaches, fed, etc.). Even though it's not covid, tests can give false negatives during the incubation period. And of course whatever infection she has is probably contagious as well.
Wishing Anna well and looking forward to seeing her healthy and back in competition soon!

The GP does not count towards WS and SB this season. So it won't change anything for her. Only Challengers count towards SBs this season and so far we had two I think? I expect that the ISU will use the WS and SB from last season for next season due to the lack of international competitions.

The conversation in this thread isn’t always exclusively about Russian Ladies, so I can understand why people thought of Moris. I did too.why on earth would I need to specify that in a "Russian LADIES' Figure Skating" Thread?

I hope it’s just a cold. There are so many cases of covid and pneumonia is a serious hillness.
Skaters shouldn’t meet their fans, they are not aware but fans could transmit the virus even though they don’t have any symptoms. Some people still believe covid is just a cold, NO NO and NO don’t take it lightly. It’s sometimes too late once you catch it so beware.

Feel better Anna! It’s better to sit out this event and rest to (hopefully) be strong again by Nationals.
