If she could switch her repeat quad from the toe to either the lutz or the flip it would be better because those are higher points, she could take out the salchow which was usually her problem jump.

Sasha has completely normal relations with her former teammates. At the stage four of the cup she was talking with Maiia in a very friendly way.

Which reminds me of Anna confiding during an interview that she honestly missed Sasha and Alyona and felt kind of lonely at competitions since they had left. Good for them to be able to catch up now! Both are awesome!

Sasha's rippon 4Lzs have gotten so much better since that first practice video. They arms aren't as high up in the air but they stay really steady! (Though I'm still not totally with the whole rippon quad trend, they look fine as is).

All these posts of the skaters are cute and all...but uhm masks? Almost every senior Russian skater has had covid yet the precautions they are taking are STILL pretty minimal

Seeing pictures of the girls talk to each other and hang out and be amicable is so heartwarming. I don't know why fans try to paint everyone as this selfish and greedy snob who refuses to associate with those inferior. Sure, they're probably not BFFLs, but they are, at the very least, respectful. You don't see any of these skaters give other skaters death stares or make up rumors about them.

Especially inspiring for fans supporting them both. I wish they could share gold with totally identical results. Just a dream, of course.
