Oh that's a good one. Both blondes actually won but that's another story for another time. No coach acts like Plushenko does that I've ever seen in figure skating. He needs to check himself very fast. While plushenko was robbed of a second Olympic gold in Vancouver in my opinion he is retired and can't win gold for Russia anymore. I don't like his antics now. Could the judges in Vancouver have been frustrated by Plusbenko and tired of seeing him for about 10 years at that point? Does he have a personality that rubbed people the wrong way as a great skater and will his personality rub judges the wrong way as a coach? Act like a professional. Sasha has gotten plenty of high marks in her career and she will get many many more.

On the other hand he extensively discussed other skaters and their „faults“, which I can’t say will bode well in public eye.

Oh please you can't compare the vitriol and hatred Plushy gets for so much as showing his face to what Eteri or any other coach gets.

I've never seen such hatred, you'd think Plushy was a serial killer.

There's always 500 people ready to defend the WORST actions of Eteri here. But I'm all by myself trying to point out maybe, just maybe Plushenko isn't evil incarnate who feasts on the souls of children.

Anna could easily just pull out her VIP card and have her ticket to Worlds punched but she's a trooper and a consumate athlete who wants to earn her due. Also the possibility of becoming a 3 peat national champion in the Golden Era of Russian figure skating cannot be scoff at. She could do it now and Rus Fed would give her spot. The same chorus of people who are showing their fake concerns and want her to withdraw would be the same loud voices voicing their indignation when Rus Fed inevitably do so when that happens. She has that much clout.

For people who are genuinely concern about Anna's health obviously you've never seen much sport outside of figure skating. Tennis players, boxers, long distance runners, mountaineers e.g. are examples of athletes who have a gladiator and siege mentality. I've seen tennis players who look like they are about to pass out in a match because of heat or lingering injury but soldier on and win their matches. Mountaineers risk their lives climbing mountains even common trekkers do when they get up really high. I guess figure skaters especially ladies have a delicate image that haggard breathing after a lights out skate where every movement is performed would be considered alarming.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. This girl is taking smelling salts to get through a SP with triples and 2A! What about the free skate? Did you hear her panting after the short? I just... why do you want her to break herself? I do think it's admirable how much she wants to win but please! This is not a "trooper" and "hero soldier" move. We should not be praising these skaters for literally putting their health and their future at risk. I'm not even the biggest fan of Anna's, but as any human with a heart, I would rather see her healthy and prepared at Worlds than in pain and at risk of serious injury here.

When Elena I and Yulia L joined the Academy posters here moaned and groaned and wondered how much Plushy was paying them off. Because there can't be anything good about the Academy or Plushy, oh God forbid. He's just a fraudulent talentless hack and utter filth.

it would have happened if not for damn Coronavirus. and if all the coaches and skaters you named came to Russian Nationals people would be losing their minds even more than they are. I mean the drama tomorrow will be off charts and that doesn't even include AK Zhenya and Alina.

In Russia, ammonium carbonate in salt form is rarely used, but ammonium hydroxide in the form of an alcohol solution is found in every first aid kit. However, there have been no previous reports of such a strong substance being used

Why would the Fed humiliate Sasha? She's one of two Russian girls without KV who's too young to win the world's gold this year. There probably won't be a World Championship again this year but if there is only Anna and Sasha have a realistic chance of gold without kamila there. For the Federation to do anything to hurt this Megastar who spills her guts with every performance does not make sense and could not have happened. As for the Federation being ticked off by plushenko that's possible. But trust me moose if it came down to Sasha winning a world title for Russia or a Japanese or Korean girl winning the FED will be on their hands and knees praying for Sasha to do it!

The Russian Federation need Sasha rocking and rolling this year in case there is a World Championships she would have a chance to win it. this is not like last season where one of TT girls were going to win Worlds no matter what no matter who. It's just not the same this year because of the coaching changes as well as covid halting training and hurting careers.

As for Yulia I'm happy if she's happy and I think she's happy being back with her friend Elena. And well you seem offended that I hope she would go back to EG and TT the thought of her working with Kamila on spins is just an amazing thought. But if Yulia is in the right place at the right time for her career and life as a single mom then I'm all for it. You might say I have evolved on her situation in the last few weeks. Now I want to see Evgeni evolve as a coach and as a leader of women and men. The thumbs-down and constant complaining is unacceptable and this is not common of figure skating coaches in Russia or around the world. He is learning doing it on the go so it can't be easy for him since he feels the pressure of having these two fantastic skaters created by someone else hand it to him basically. but trust me while Sasha wants to win badly and she is phenomenal she would not want her coach to be embarrassing any of her former mates at TT going after their scores publicly criticizing their skating and things like that. I certainly don't want to see the greatest coach in the sport acting like that when things don't go her way.

I may get pushback and may get most everybody on my case, but if I’m a coach, I want my athletes to have this kind of will, desire and pain threshold.

Think about it, rather than quit, she did this. Gets unlimited respect from me.

Also, a special mention to Liza that was obviously not in game shape but also fought like the devil. You could see a few seconds in her cardio wasn’t where it usually is. And at the end she struggled as well.

I have a high tolerance for forum pain so you can bring the rebuttals and even call me an uncaring sob, or worse, if you chose.

I don't know the order tomorrow who skates when but if KV is ahead of Sasha when Anna skates do you think there's a chance that EG will pull Anna because TT will have won the Nationals gold and not want to risk AS skating a four minute free skate when she's not in top condition?
