Not to the same level. Yuzu has a cult following that's never been true for the others. Like yes, he was booed for beating Daisuke and that period of time was polarizing but it isn't lasting. That's what I meant. None of the 3A have that level of reputation or adoration or longevity. They've been senior for one year and haven't even made it to World's yet and they're already being "replaced".

Also those same fans that booed him would fight to the death for him now haha (or at least rain down pooh bears upon his opposition). The others doesn't have the time to establish that level of dominance and adoration. They also don't have a "brand".

Yeah i get it. I hope one of them will reach the level of Medvedeva and Zagitova at least. They are more talented, but unlucky.

I couldn't believe that Japaneses could boo on someone when i learned that. Never found the video of the entire medal ceremony.

Also Yanzu is a 2 time Olympic champion, Yuna is a Olympic champion and silver medalist, John is an Olympic champion, Alina is an Olympic champion (and silver team medalist), and Evgenia is a Olympic silver medalist (and silver team medalist).

Their adoration is partially because of their accomplishments and the first three transcended more than one Olympic cycle. Aliona, Anna, etc might not even make it to one Olympics much less two and much less be medalists.

Even reaching Evgenia and Alina levels will require a more impressive medal display - by quite a bit actually.

Well it was said she went to Sambo alone so maybe they were unaware of what she was doing. Or perhaps (and probably more likely) they didn't think it was a big deal to worry about.

When you think about it, it’s not like the season was a total mess, she still medaled at each event except the last one and she missed two competitions because of health issues.

She’s still among the best skaters. Like I said before, I’m sure things would work with time. She should tell her parents before doing things recklessly.

Wow, well done Yana. She might win this one (she almost certainly will) but I wonder if anyone in their right mind would change coaches to AoP after this mess? I know I wouldn‘t.

It's ridiculous and they were handling things okay from the PA side until all this stuff came out about the money in the last 24 hours. Now aliona is stuck and won't be able to train much before worlds and won't be able to go as an alternate so if someone gets sick or injured they have only Little Liza to put in there.

Sasha will have to pay back hundreds of thousands of dollars to leave that place someday. The Plushies are hurting themselves here. Other Russian skaters are watching.

I'm getting frustrated and someone needs to speak up for Aliona.

Also and this is for anyone reading this how is a public club like sambo-70 supposed to pay a private club when sambo gets paid by the government?

There is no contract with aliona. Plushenko has even said that the contract is with her mother. So let her mother and her legal team handle that and let aliona skate. Since the contract is not with Aliona herself she should be free to skate.

She made a contract, and now Aliona owes the generous and giving Plushenko money, and someone has to pay. She’s just saying she doesn’t care who does that, Aliona or Eteri, but someone has to.

She also said that since she has a commercial school, if it were her, she would be able to pay that bill. Sounds like freedom came with a hefty price tag.

Well actually nothing wrong about it. Kostornaia mom after all seems to have signed a contract and now she is in breach of it. Guess she was full conscious when signing it

Sometimes in sports, moves don’t work out. And the chemistry doesn’t work.

Plushenko took Kostornaia semi begrudgingly and it looks like she really wasn’t following his instructions. It was a marriage doomed from the start.

Kostornaia yo-yoing between coaches and returning to someone she left certainly doesn’t look to good for her. How long before she tries to leave Eteri again?

The irony of the situation is that she left because she wanted more attention and will return not getting her way. She is negotiating from a position of major weakness.

I’m figuring Eteri isn’t eating any fees to break the contract. The Republic of Eteri isn’t known to make bad business decisions.

Plushy said he will cover all expenses for Aliona when she went there. I guess he went back on his word huh?
