I mean technically he DID foot the bill. She did have coaches, programs, costumes, medical expenses, etc (above and beyond the money that was allotted for her as a national team member). She had more programs than she had competitions she skated in haha. However, she isn't a member of his school anymore so I see not paying out of pocket for her.
He’s generous, but you still have to pay it back. Lol.
how much does it cost to rent the ice, that little house, the services of international specialist Rozanov? Aliona’s finding that out now.

All those gifts were suspicious.

But apparently she moved out of her villa at Plushenko camp earlier. Were they not aware of it, either? And would they not talk to her at this point? I mean, c'mon... That's strange.
That's why I said there is a difference between leaving and not. Also I would imagine she was moving anyway after the end of her season.

It is heart breaking to watch exceptionally talented and decorated skaters parting with their dream. It was heart breaking to see Aliona cry in the kiss-n-cry. It was humiliating to watch Tracy Gold to give a sub-standard performance in so called "come back" event. Evgenia's "come back" was nothing of the sort. But hey, these exceptional women had their day in the sun and should be grateful for it.

Since Alena is still a minor it’s one of her parents who has to sign but there’s a contract with Plushy and Alena.

when Alina was still a minor, it was an adult who signed for her sleeping beauty show and also received the money and transferred her.
You may be right but don't forget that Russian law applies to this transaction. One question to ask would be do minors have the ability to sign and be held to contracts? And what is the effect of her parents signing, if they did?

Yes, the bolded is one of the things that is unclear to me, and why I am curious about Kostornaia's contract violation. And partly about what would happen if someone left AoP four years later with "everything paid for". Why does she need to pay up for everything (seemingly)? I think soccer players are given sign-up bonuses, aren't they?
Knowing they have business sense and a juridic team it’s no joke

No, I imagine she should have kept training being the Worlds first alternate.
Well okay, I don't think anyone ever imagined her going to World's. Anna and Sasha would have to break and not be able to skate for them to consider it.

If Anna and Sasha are only minorly injured they'll still go. Remember it's not like they have a healthy Aliona ready. They don't so they would have to weigh her injuries against there's and as long as Anna and Sasha can skate their potential - even injured - is higher. And as for Liza T - she doesn't matter in terms of placements at all anyway. She could fail to make the FS and it wouldn't impact the spots for World's and the Olympics next year as long as Anna and Sasha skate to potential.

So no, she was never going to World's even as first alternate unless something catastrophic happened and Anna or Sasha couldn't skate at ALL. (And considering what we watched them do at RusNats it would have to be incredibly bad.)

Alena’s doing is her parents’s responsibilities as a minor, this is why it was a reckless move to go to Eteri without telling them and wanting to break the contract. She should discuss with her parents first, I think she was aware about the contract Or at least her parents knew.

Was posted a bit back. 15 and above no obligation for guardians to act on their behalf. Kostornaia could have signed but didn't, and to be honest, you ask a good question with the bolded.

Imagine an Olympic champion and well respected athlete coming to you and telling you, that he’s footing the bill and she’s got nothing to worry about. She can train, he covers everything. His blonde wife smiles at you and slides you a contract saying it’s just a formality.
would you suspect he lies straight in your face? Barely.

it’s their own fault they’re in this mess, but it doesn’t make the Rudkovskaya Family any honor.
Yes, I can imagine that, no problem. But this is when you sign. And then you want out. First thing you do, you take the contract you have signed, go through it and check your options. Especially if it considers your child, big money and pro-sport. I mean, they are not newcomers in this world, come on.

I don't understand what you mean. All expenses paid for means you don't have to pay it back. If you went on a company holiday and they put it down as expenses, you don't have to pay the company back for the flights and accommodation after you leave.

Anna OR Sasha. Just one of them, not both. And Anna's health is quite fragile at the moment and it is the COVID world, when no one, literally no one, can be sure that tomorrow they don't test positive.
