That's a totally wonky statistic à la logical fallacy and I don't find it insane at all.
Yeah only 200 out of the entire world population have jumped a quad...but not the entire world population trains to be a Figure Skater... and the very few people in the world who ever figure skate at all in their lives, the vast majority don't even train to go elite.
If you had the whole world trying for a quad as a career you would have thousands and thousands of them.
In world level men's skating they are considered standard now and we already need more than two hands to count all the ladies who have jumped them.
It's like saying "OMG so few people in the world can run 10.000m at the Olympics" - well yeah cause almost nobody in the world trains for that since being a kid.
Even if you only count only the Elite figure skaters and the percantage of them that lands quads consistent, still freaking impressive. No need to be over intelectual I think.
