if vanessa and eric had wanted to preserve their spot, they could have stayed home... much easier... they tried.. they realised they didn't have it in them... they didn't want to risk an injury... it's much much more dangerous when you are lifting and throwing someone... and keegan didn't have to skip two weeks of practice... regarding the team event, MTM really have a twist issue and for the short program, that could cost a medal to Canada.
exactly... if we look at lori-ann and thierry who also had training compromised when lori-ann tested positive, in the SP they crashed on the twist... and had another not so good twist in the LP. There is no joking with pairs elements.

I have often said that WM were team number 2 in Canada because of early retirements, injuries and bad luck from other contenders... to me, they have always been place holders. They have been given quite a lot of time, right away when they came out of juniors to develop, and I do not see much improvement... they still have the easier throws, the lifts are still iffy... they landed the jumps this time but all season they doubled the salchow... so I am actually hoping for Trennt to team up with a new partner. Evelyn is nice and all but she is a bit too tall for a guy who is shorter than I am (I have seen them in person and was shocked at how short he was compared to some of the other pair male skaters)
and I support your idea to have Trennt team up with a new partner. Maybe, it should have been Trennt with Vanessa to begin with, considering Eric had retired. My experience was the opposite. I was so excited about the Radford and James reunion as to me Radford and James were the two artistic members from their original pairings and i was really happy these two reunified when the news first broke out. I was seeking a team that could challenge and break up the domination of four Russian Pairs and two Chinese pair teams. Also, Eric is from that Canadian golden era that I really miss. I miss Patrick Chan, Kaetlyn Osmond, Meaghan Duhamel and Virtue & Moir. So, I was ecstatic to have Eric back to represent that era. But, now, my opinion, as of today, has changed.
So mean to my poor team WM. Are you sure you are not part of the dark side?well.. i'd say, it takes time to get artistry out from a newly form pairs team... they are doing better than I thought they would for such a short period of time. I prefer the Julie Marcotte/ Ian Connolly teams as they have more interesting elements and programs than the Bruno Marcotte teams, though I like the Japanese team.... if you are hoping that a Canadian team challenges the Russian and Chinese pairs, WM will not be that team ever.

But, yes, I would rather now have WM finish at 12th in the Olympics, like they did at 2021 Worlds, over JR finishing in 9th or 10th at Olympics in 2022
The way it's going around right now, unfortunately there are probably multiple people that have been unknowingly exposed. We just need to hope there isn't a breakout
