And he hasn't done a clean SP since the 2021 WTT. I'm so nervous for him.

Putting good vibes into Roman's clean skate. But it doesn't matter in the end whether we get into the free skate or not

It definitely puts a lot of pressure on Maddie, unfortunately. Although I don't think it matters if we don't make the free. Maybe it's embarrassing, but practically, we're not going to win a medal anyway, so why waste the energy.

funding. finishing 4th is a much better argument for skate canada to get funding for the future than not making the free skate. Also, experience.
I always believed more in Piper and Paul and Maddie than Roman and MTM for the SP of the team event. I think though that Roman and MTM will do much better in their respective event.

Seriously, something was terribly wrong with Roman, all the nerves got him and sadly, if Canada cannot make it to the free section, he would probably blame himself for that mistake.

Not to beat a "hurt" horse (won't use the real expression here... too harsh) but that's where Canada could not lose those points. 70 for a SP by a skater like Roman is unacceptable for his level.. I am not saying this for myself, i am saying it is not acceptable for himself. He is so much better than this. He will have to learn to trust himself. His quad salchow is usually very gorgeous. When looking at Pairs and Dance, yes, we hoped for a bit better but realistically, MTM could have done one rank higher... same with Piper and Paul... but Roman could have done MUCH MUCH better... so that's where it's been lost... Madeline can still do it, but she needs to 1) place relatively high, and 2) place above Gubanova

He has always been strange since the beginning of this season. I adore Roman but what's done is done, get it all in the individual event or he would be in much more trouble, that's all!
p.s:
not trying to be salty but where are all the Roman's fans that used to be good at bashing Patrick's records and achievements without looking back at the truth that their fave has not won any main titles for Canada?

even Patrick not at his best earned 18 points for Canada in the team event. I adore Roman as well... but tough love is more my feeling right now... while I have sympathy for Keegan has a bunch of things keep happening to him, I have lowered my expectations for Roman greatly. I wish him to be a late bloomer and perhaps that will be in the next quad but I do think that the next quad will be GOGO's JO's and CON'sHe has always been strange since the beginning of this season. I adore Roman but what's done is done, get it all in the individual event or he would be in much more trouble, that's all!

Wesley, Gogo, Jo, Con surely have a future to carry on, but Roman, he really needs to get himself together for the remaining parts of the Games.

I've noticed that you keep bringing this up over and over again. I'm arguably Roman's biggest fan on this forum, and I've never bashed Patrick's achievements. Moreover, I've read every post on Roman's Fan Fest, and there is no one there bashing Patrick, either. The only other skater that occasionally gets brought up in Roman's Fan Fest is Jeffrey Buttle, and that's because Jeff was Roman's childhood hero, and Roman's skating style is obviously inspired by Jeff. You've joined this forum in 2021, while I've been around since 2008, and in that time, I've never interacted with a Roman fan on this site who has belittled Patrick's accomplishments (I've certainly haven't read EVERY post on this forum, but I somehow never crossed paths with them).p.s:
The type of Roman fans that you describe aren't the majority on this forum, and I resent the fact that you paint all of us with a broad brush and depict all of us as haters of Patrick, which at the very least isn't true about me, and it isn't true about the Roman fans who hang out on his Fan Fest.
The last skater in the SP is the one with the highest World Standing. That would be Scherbakova/Trusova/Valieva.
Based on current WS, the order of skating would be Zhu, Shatobova, Brezinova, Gubanova, Gutmann, Schizas, Schott, USA, JPN, ROC
You misunderstood, the last skater for team Canada in the short program.
Not the last to skate in the segment.

It's not about you or any good person in these forum these days, anyway. Those stuffs, they used to be in some random thread amd definitely not on both's FanFest Threads, but I guess they just don't exist anymore. And again, I don't mean to harm any good supporters of any skaters as well. (And yeah, my old account has got problems so far, so I did change into another one in 2021 to keep updating news, so things must be different).

Let's move on. As Canadian fans of this sport, we have had a tough time when our skaters did succeed and also when they did not.
It seems like we can never win. The only thing we can do is remain considerate and compassionate. Yesterday, I was a very shocked fan with how things went for our team.... today, i feel so sorry for this young man. At the same time, I wish him all the best for the singles event and worlds and may this bad performance fuel him up in the future !!!!
