You’d have even more to say if you knew that their RD music includes the old boy band hit, “Bye Bye Bye.” I was reduced to giggles the first time I saw them perform it, and since then cannot help thinking of this team as “Bye Bye Bye.”I have comments about the Ice Dancer "Bye".

How do you know Bradie is retiring after this season? Has she stated this somewhere?
Protocols just came out. No triple triple. Also, 2A 2T was another combo. Happy to see her back. But, this isn’t competitive enough to be top ten in USA, at the moment. Hopefully, she will get better as the season progresses.Hanna Harrell got a 114.61 in her FS. Not bad at all!
Yes, I imagine that was always the plan. The SP is new and she needs to practice the choreo. However, she returned to her previous program in the FS so she likely didn't think it was necessary to perform it.Mariah withdrew from the Free Skate.
I don't get that. She could use as many competitive outings as she can get, and she's already at the location of the event. Alysa and Karen have competed twice and Mariah has a lot of work to do to catch up.Yes, I imagine that was always the plan. The SP is new and she needs to practice the choreo. Well, Mariah and her coaches obviously thought it was the right decision. Russian skaters do it all the time in domestic events so it is a common practice. She knows the Hallelujah program very well and she is currently undergoing some personal issues which she might need to work through. Competition practice is important, but this competition wouldn't help Mariah in her search for a higher SB score. She is also a seasoned competitor and being 25 is old in skating years. That's most likely the reason. Mariah doesn't need a win at a small domestic event, and winning at a small domestic event wouldn't really help her Olympic chances. Especially if she isn't competition ready for a free program yet, she has a lot more to lose from competing than from not competing. Was Mariah just looking to see how her new SP would play in front of the judges? With the lead that she had, I imagine this would have been an easy win for her. Did they give a reason for her withdrawal?
I don't think the result, whether good or bad, would impact her Olympic chances either way. I can't think of an instance in which a skater bombed a small, early season competition and it resulted in them not making a team if they otherwise performed well later in the season. I guess I would have just liked to see her get that first LP of the season done so she has something to build from.Mariah doesn't need a win at a small domestic event, and winning at a small domestic event wouldn't really help her Olympic chances.
