^ So I'd thought as well, before the war began. I thought Trusova would do great with Arutunyan since Eteri's center is getting crowded. But in this situation, which team would Trusova go to? Her results with Plushenko weren't better than the ones from this season. She might stay in the end.

So apparently Kostornaia was kicked out of Sambo. Either way, I believe she's better off elsewhere.

I am not sure Sasha could easily go to Raf even without this political situation.
do we have any info about what actually happened?

i wonder if this has to do with her injuries and inability to fully train? i guess i don't know what reason they'd have to kick her out. guess we will find out if Eteri or Daniil post a snarky announcement/goodbye on instagram.

I saw a screenshot on twitter, I think it was fro Sports.ru.

I know Buyanova hasn't had too much success recently, but she does seem like a nice person from what I've heard and I just want Aliona in an environment, where she's safe, comfortable, taken care of and the adults in her team do not talk badly about her in the media. So best of luck to her!

i am done with this coaching team.
How odd, every time someone leaves TT there is always something with the skaters, they are either lazy, not appearing in practice, don´t want to share ice with other people etc, etc. Every time a similar story :cautious:

Btw, why would she be at practice now with a broken hand anyway?

Something is very odd BTW, five days ago Alena was dedicating a Instagrampost about Eteri on her birthday, "thank you for your patience and your work with me". And now of all a sudden, Eteri isn´t followng Alena on Instagram anymore... I mean come on Eteri. Alena is still following Eteri.

The guy being interviewed is the same one who immediately ran to the press to tell them that it was Daria Usacheva’s fault she had to be carried off the ice at NHK Trophy. They can’t even accept responsibility for overtraining the ones who are still with them, apparently.

Edited to add: Aliona called him out afterwards on social media for his comments about Daria. So not surprising he is eager to tear her down.

I’m not surprised Alena is no longer with Eteri. It’s not shocking the coaching team bashes one of their skaters yet again, however it does fall in like with the toxic, abusive environment these young girls accept as their normal. Alena was without a doubt the most talented of this group and it is disappointing that this coaching team couldn’t treat her with respect.

I hope Trusova leaves soon. I don’t see her with Raf though. Sasha doesn’t let the coaches push her around and I’m not sure he’s interested in someone that won’t listen.

I felt it was only a matter of time before Aliona parted ways with Eteri, what with a second broken arm and not being able to train fully. Does anyone really believe Aliona is even going to WANT to continue to train trixels? With anyone? Since apparently, trixel training is what caused both falls resulting in broken wrists/arms/fingers, whatever? I even dared to wonder if, since Aliona competed so 'lightly' this past season, she might try moving herself to another country for competition purposes, even while remaining in Russia for coaching...I know how much I miss seeing her beautiful skating, and could live happily with no-trixel performances from her, given how fine her skating skills are in general. May she have much luck with her new coach Buyanova--I wish her only the best.

Wheaton Ice Skating Academy (WISA), I think?
Correct, although they don't really train in Wheaton anymore since the ION facility opened in Virginia. Tanith was pretty hard on Molly's skating during the nationals broadcast... was kind of surprised to hear about the move...
