Is this math right? That means with a clean program including 2 3As she would only be a couple points ahead of someone who fell on one downgraded 3A attempt?Young You fell twice, on difficult elements (3A and 3lz). Her second 3A was under-rotated. Those errors probably cost her around 14 points. That is why she scored so much lower than Alysa.
Young You’s lutz also was downgraded, in addition to the fall.Is this math right? That means with a clean program including 2 3As she would only be a couple points ahead of someone who fell on one downgraded 3A attempt?
Well, do the math yourself. Maybe it should be higher. The point remains the same, however, that Young's errors cost her a lot and that is why she scored so much lower than Alysa. Also, she would have gotten higher PCS with a clean program. That wasn't factored in--only TES.Is this math right? I know my Omaha Symphony has performed this piece recently (and gloriously), but i absolutely can’t remember the name of it. Help, please! As a classically trained pianist with lots of classically trained violinist friends, it was (quite literally) music to my ears. I stopped watching Alysa and just sat back to enjoy the virtuosic display of violinistic prowess.
Correct, she only got 1.26 on her 3Lz. With the deduction for the fall, she only got .26 for that element. That is a potential loss of nearly 7 points (maybe more) right there.Young You’s lutz also was downgraded, in addition to the fall.
Someome should fax them my suggestion at least.

I guess they still use the original model from 1843, so there can be the some compatibility issues.Someome should fax them my suggestion at least.
Here is a piece of advice for anyone live streaming their skating competition: either do it right or don’t do it at all. Prefer no stream to an amateur stream. It’s only 3000 people, not like a million people needed to be serviced.
Or if you need to charge a few dollars or euros or whatever for the stream, do it. ...
In case you didn't know, The Skating Club of Boston doesn't use CDs for music anymore. They have a sound system where you airdrop your music to the iPad connected to the system, and play it directly from there. Even for your everyday run-throughs on regular freestyle ice. (Too bad if you're an Android user, because then you have a few extra hoops to jump through.)Yeah, I know, wishful thinking given they are still using CD’s for music.
Let’s start a gofundme to get them a 1980‘s model. HahaI guess they still use the original model from 1843, so there can be the some compatibility issues.
I aim to please.I don't agree with this "advice."
I am very thankful for the dozens and dozens of hours of this week's free live streaming of Cranberry Cup, Lake Placid International, and Cranberry Open -- even though the stream has not always been reliable.
If this week's streaming had not been free, I probably would not have purchased it.
When I spend money on skating, I would much rather use it for travel costs of attending live skating events.
Even if the streaming cost had been reasonable, I probably would have made do with whatever bits of this week's non-major (but very enjoyable) events showed up on social media -- and would have saved my proverbial pennies for the far higher costs of in-person attendance at future events.
(I also have no problem with the QR code being shown during resurfacing, etc.
When I attend a live event, I like to give my full attention to the six-minute and five-minute warm-ups. But when streaming is free, it does not break my heart that the QR code has been on screen during some warm-ups.
Again, I am very thankful for the one hundred hours (approx.) of this week's free streaming from two rinks over six days.)
YMMV.
That crack was for the ISU. They need to take control of the streaming situation. In case you didn't know, The Skating Club of Boston doesn't use CDs for music anymore. Thank you. Hopefully this freezes less than the original streams.Hurray, complete man’s short is now available! Looking forward to catching up to the first 2 groups!
