The US international classic being on peacock is fantastic news. The steam will be reliable, with rewind and fast forwarding and will be a flawless viewing experience. No one was forcing you (or anyone else) to watch the Cranberry streaming.
Anyone who found the streaming absolutely intolerable could have chosen to not continue watching it.
I don't share your preference for no stream, but if I did, I simply would not have watched.
As I posted on Aug 6 in the thread for U.S. International Classic (which is SCOB's next international event), its streaming apparently will be available only on Peacock Premium (requiring a fee).
Not good news for me, who is trying to save my proverbial pennies for my future skating trips.
And IIRC, Peacock is not readily available to those outside the U.S. even if they are willing to pay? (Perhaps some have gained access via a workaround.)
But maybe it is good news for you.![]()
... Imagine the World Cup final being streamed like this.
... Don’t understand why people are taking this personally. ...
You don’t have to join anything. I don’t have the link but I’m sure someone will post it.How do you find the archived streams? I'm not seeing them, but thus far I've avoided 'joining' the platform.

Also, nobody will improve if you just accept mediocrity and make excuses.
If I was told there will be a steam and spent 3 hours to build to the climax, then the feed goes south, the blame shouldn’t be put on the viewer.
It’s like inviting someone to dinner and serving them half a slice of cheese and a cup of lukewarm water.
Don’t understand why people are taking this personally. They willingly chose to steam the event and with it comes an expectation, especially since it’s a world wide competition.
Imagine being a parent trying to watch your daughter skate only to see freezing.
This is also why figure skating will remain a niche sport. Image if the premier league had these streaming issues. Nobody would be excusing them. Imagine the World Cup final being streamed like this.

Well folks, to wrap things up: the Skating Club of Boston is an amazing facility. They had real pink roses in the ladies room, in real glass vases.
When I pulled up this morning they charged me $3 for handicapped parking, “and the handicapped spaces are right over here.”
Everyone was so nice helping me with my giant new walker. The handicapped bathroom stalls are enormous. I could wheel in a wheelchair and have a ton of room to spare.
This is not a complaint, but an observation. The seats are so close to the ice that there is literally ice under your feet and there’s a 3-4 inch gap in the floor. My feet were frozen. So if anyone else gets lucky enough to get those seats wear warm shoes. My lovely friends didn’t have a problem. I eventually moved up a row. (The horror) which are still wonderful seats.
At the highest rows (still good seats) there are electric outlets to charge ones electronics.
I think i am now flag woman. Several people stopped to thank me for waving flags.
Well worth the 2 day drive to see skaters I would never get to see.
I do wish my babies Kaitlyn and Jean Luc had been there. Alas we can’t have it all.
So Peacock Premium no longer offers the free week trial? That is disappointing. No one was forcing you (or anyone else) to watch the Cranberry streaming.

But I can't get Peacock in Australia, so now I don't get to see anything...not even in blurry, skippy, lo-def. Nothing at all. Unless I watch someone streaming it on Twitch or something. In which case I have to contend with the fact that whoever's running the stream might have a problem with one of the skaters and choose not to show them. This is also why figure skating will remain a niche sport.
Poster ice coverage has done a wonderful job of updating links for the various archived streams in her post here: https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/threads/2021-cranberry-cup-international.88471/page-5#post-2773259 Scroll towards the bottom of the post to find Sunday's(most recent streams). Thanks again ice coverage for all your effort and invaluable posts. How do you find the archived streams? I'm not seeing them, but thus far I've avoided 'joining' the platform.

I didn't manage to watch the event live, but the videos on YouTube seem really good. Just watching the complete Pairs FS event on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXaOjVHq464&t=628s . The first tune is 'Je suis Malade' and I thought 'not again', then came Krasnopolski and I knew we're up and running again.![]()
I really enjoyed Zhenya and Vovan, good to see them up for the challenges they'll face in the coming months. Thanks for posting this, I didn't know people posted complete events or were allowed to with copyrights and such. I've seen some individual videos disappear already.
Lady B! I knew you would show up!I really enjoyed Zhenya and Vovan, good to see them up for the challenges they'll face in the coming months.
Just watching Senior Men SP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lJeaHcXLsk&t=632s and totally love Donovan Carillo's Santana repertoire! I'm so up for the Olympic season!
I'm pleased you had the pleasure to see them up close, I know it is special! I haven't met Pavel Sliusarenko yet. Wow! He's been very successful last season and I think working with him in Perm was a great move for Zhenya and Vovan!Lady B! I knew you would show up!
I had the pleasure of watching the pairs (including TM) from a front row seat directly up against the rink surface. Please see my notes on TM on pages 10-ish and 45-ish of the threadAnd during the long, I was treated to a Birdseye view of their SBS jumps and one throw that all took place directly in front of our seats, maybe 2-3 feet away
As I was leaving after the comp, I happened to see Evgenia standing alone on the sidewalk and made a point of congratulating and complimenting her. She seems rather sweet and shy in real life.
Then the rest of her party arrived—Vladimir, Eteri and the male coach who also accompanied them—and we all walked out to the parking lot together![]()
Cheers, how sweet of you to think of meAnd for pairs fans—just you wait til you see Tarasova/Morosov’s SP death spiral. Absolutely exquisite, unique entry and exit. Seeing them close up practicing a foot or two away from you is an experience difficult to describe in words. Eteri is here with them, btw.
That man can jump, too. I got a very close up view. (Lady B, I hope you are reading this!)
Thank you for identifying Pavel, Lady B. I felt sure I’d seen him somewhere, and was equally sure that he wasn’t one of Eteri’s usual assistants.I'm pleased you had the pleasure to see them up close, I know it is special! I haven't met Pavel Sliusarenko yet. Wow! He's been very successful last season and I think working with him in Perm was a great move for Zhenya and Vovan!
Mine too!Jimmy's K&C at US Nationals was my favorite part of that event
And mine! That’s my DOG!!!Mine too!
Great news for people in the US. Not so great for the rest of the world who won’t be able to watch at all.The US international classic being on peacock is fantastic news. The steam will be reliable, with rewind and fast forwarding and will be a flawless viewing experience.
