I say this with love and hope of future improvement but if you are going to be a skater who is all about the quads, you need to have beautiful jumps. Otherwise,

The costume changes worked though, he comes across as confident on the ice and the spins are improving.

I don't know him at all but I wonder what Brendan skates like in practice? He seems like a wonderfully talented skater who just doesn't thrive in competition. He tends to look anxious and worried.

He is wildly talented. There are all sorts of incredible videos on his instagram of him landing crazy combos. A double walley, for example.

I think sometimes he feels the pressure of his own impressive pedigree and the fact that he is the undisputed number one in Australia. It is all him. Always. He always goes to Worlds. He always leads the team at 4CC. always he goes to Nebelhorn for Olympic spots.

I think he is hanging on to skate at 4CC in Sydney.

Evgeni's one of those skaters who just looks really messy even when he's skating clean, but for some reason I really enjoy watching him. The first half of that skate was really strong!
