Oh yeah interesting story! At the library where I work a few weeks back and I put a book out that was on hold for an Alexandra Scherbakova. I was like

She skated well and I expect her to be first but.. I wish I felt more when I watched Anna skate. Still lovely girl and deserved World Champion.

That was a very solid skate by Anna (who is musical and has many lovely qualities), but it just didn't do anything for me. The choreography, although not as egregious as some by her choreographer, has lots of unnecessary kicks/etc. The difference in jumping technique was also readily apparent, skating after Liza.
